Will an 'I'm married' imprint wedding ring discourage cheating?

Do you ever look at a particularly strange product and wonder who pitched it in a boardroom — and what team of brand executives thought it was a good idea?

A new "anti-cheating" titanium wedding band, sold for $550 on TheCheeky.com, has the words “I’m Married” carved on the inside. The site promises that the engraving will imprint the wearer with the phrase, thus preventing them from simply taking off their wedding band and cheating. This ring has caused quite a buzz around the Interwebs, which is no surprise, because it raises quite a few questions:...

I have been wearing my ring for 37 yrs, the mark is there. Even if it does not say "I'm married", .. there is no mistaking what causes the mark on my finger.

I wonder if the ring would move and spin enough to not allow the imprint to set in one place.

(or if the husband would move and spin it himself so it wouldn't, .. or so that it would, but under the finger)

If the woman has so little trust that she wants hm to be wearing one of those then she probay shouldn't be getting married to him in the first place.

Absolutely, If you think you need it then you are not ready for marriage.

Very stupid. If the person wants to cheat, they will cheat no matter what. There's nothing that will stop a person from being unfaithful if their mind is set on it.

All I can say is....cheating is easy, try staying faithful it's more rewarding.

Well said.

Don't cheat, simple as that. Been married for 15 years never once considered it. Sad that this would be necessary.

Hell no. That's about a step from a tattoo.

Besides, marriage should be based on trust. Tagging your mate like an elk in the wild hardly falls into the trust category.

There is a man that I have seen 4 or 5 times on flights I work. He wears a wedding ring & he is always with different women & they are obviously not his wife. Lots of cuddling. He always flies first class & is handsome so that ring doesn't mean much! We all laugh every time we see him. Different girl every time!
