Soooo

I love the Cowboys as most of you might know. Lately I have been having some trouble dealing w/ the teams losses lately. The punishment I get when I show up to work on Mondays is getting harder and harder to cope with.

It's like blood in the water after a loss. I literally hear JAWS music when I enter the building. I just want to get to my office w/ my head down and go to work and be left alone.

BUT NOOOOOOO

This is what awaited me this morning when I showed up. I wanted to post it to see if anyone could help me out w/ how they are dealing w/ the team after big let down games. :(

The worst they do to me at work is ask "What happen to the Cowboys?" with a smirk. They know damn well, it's far to dangerous to go any further than that with it. If the Cowboys lose, they walk on eggshells around me.

If I weren't a Cowboy fan, and I worked for you. I wouldn't. Heck, I would rib you constantly about how terrible Avatar was. To your face. :D

Sorry but that made me :laugh2:

Now to your problem.

Next time they say how do you feel about the boys or something along that line just reply with...I feel sick about it, no really sick, no you don't understand I am really sick and then proceed to throw up on the guy. He will not bother you about the boys again. :D

I usually just beat them to the punch. I say we suck and it takes all the wind out of their sails. :laugh2:

You would be a cripple about 10 seconds after your first attempt.

:laugh2: I will remember to take a large dose of this before coming to work that morning.

I always wear Cowboy gear to work after a loss. When I get the usual questions all I say is "Yea we didn't play as well as we did when we were winning all those Super Bowls did we?" and that pretty much ends the discussion.

Don't the 16 yr olds at the drive-thru wonder what you're talking about?

Luckily the only person at work who would talk trash is a Texans fan. So I have the trump card for the rest of the year.

I stay as drunk as my day will allow then come right out and say "Yeah we suck" as if I don't really care to anyone who makes a comment to me.

The older I get the easier the losses are to deal with. Being in Deadskin territory, I always hear something from someone (I even have a Bucs' fan in my ear this week) but I don't let them get to me anymore. It's always "what happened to your Boys" to which I respond "if you watched the game you shouldn't have to ask me"! I realized a few years back that they just wanna piss me off so I no longer give them the pleasure (even if I'm fuming inside, which I normally am)!! ;)
