I hear they will start him at guard so MCGovern can be in the backfield
He has a solid college guard lol
The first time I met Jerry I was a bit shocked at his size but back when he played guards weren’t the size of guards today

Maher, you let me down. :( I was your biggest fan this year. Kicking that 60 yarder twice after the refs took away the first try from you was ultra cool.

And now this. When it mahers, uhm, matters the most. Now get your **** together and show us, that you can take us all the way. I'm counting (and haven't given up) on you!

Mahar had a nightmare of a night but I do not think for a second that the Cowboys will give up on him. Jerry was asked afterwards and said no, Dak was asked about it and said he told Brett shake if off it was a bad game but we will need you in this post season. Mahar has been pretty much money for this team up until lastnight I think he will shake this off and come back strong.

This is nowhere near a "Greg the Leg" level, and everybody needs to calm down. The brilliant ex GM Mike Tannenbaum is calling for Dallas to bring in a new kicker for Sunday which is absurd to even suggest...if Maher fails again next weekend and we lose, he will be cut. This is how we have treated our kickers in the past, you don't replace the guy after one lousy game

The issue is he missed 5 consecutive XPs. 5! Not 5 all season … IN A ROW. It’s never been done going back to 1960!!! That’s over 60 years!

I know nothing out there will be better than Maher at the moment. But to think this isn’t mental is absolutely wrong.

Look at guys like Vanderjagt when they began missing. It happens to all kickers outside a few like Vinatieri and Tucker.

I guarantee you don’t beat San Francisco missing multiple XPs

Maher missed some kicks but I would say that he made the adjustment on the last two that he missed before he drilled the last xp kick.

I think he is fine and got his confidence back after seeing that.

for sure it is mental, and there is nobody out there better. We should though have another warm body available in case he still has the yips on Sunday
