Hypothetical concerning Boise State

Let's pretend Boise State wins the BCS Title this year and are National Champs.


If the next season say 2 major conferences have an undefeated team and Boise State is undefeated as well would Boise State get a chance to defend their Title?

Probably not, Boise State's schedule next season is much weaker than this year's.

Good question...and same could be asked about TCU.

I doubt either would get the shot if two "BCS" conference teams went undefeated. It's a shame, because you look at the Big 12, ACC, or Big East this year none look that daunting.

if I'm not mistaken, TCU got an invite to the big east next year so they might just by virtue of AQ

Both TCU and Boise have the perfect balance of Offense and Defense.


I've said this all year. Boise State is a top 2 team in College football.

Even if TCU jumps ship to the Big East, which isn't a done deal yet, they will be in the MWC for one more year, so at least Boise will have that game also. Of course, I think TCU will be rebuilding a bit next year, so maybe it will not be that big of a game.

This. Once Andy Dalton is gone, TCU's offense won't be the same. Andy Dalton *might* be the best QB in college right now. ....not that I think his skills translate to the NFL though.

The loss of Dalton will certainly be major setback, TCU loses quite a bit of its offensive line as well does it not?
