Hypothetical question if we start out 2-3 or 3-3

In either situation, we are NOT seeing any Super Bowl.....its Wild Card with 100% certainty. Dak is not winning 3 playoff games in a row against good/great competition...two (2) probably being on the road. So that being said, if you could cryogenically freeze Dak until next season and let Trey Lance start the remainder of the season, would you? Just asking for a friend.

No, if you're in playoff contention Dak is playing. If the Cowboys lose the next two and Dak isn't performing then maybe you have a conversation....maybe.

I would normally agree, but I am now 100% convinced that Dak is not now, or ever, capable of winning against a 1 or 2 seed in a hostile environment....just ain't happening. Purdy played TERRIBLE last year in our playoff game at SF, and Dak still couldn't muster up more than 12 points.

Trey at his very best would only be another Dak or Romo which again leads us to absolutely nothing. If that is the way you want to go then expect another 8 years or so of non Superbowl appearances because the only thing being changed is the number on the Jersey.

Maybe,,,,but it can't be any worse than whats in store if Booger extends him. Much like Iowa fans have "Ferentz fatigue"...."Dak fatigue" is alive and real too. Eight (8) years has been more than enough time to move on from him...it would be one thing if he could read defenses and be accurate....but without those skills, what does he have exactly other than the ability to usually beat the bad to average teams.

Sure Dak has to go but Trey is not going to be the answer

For the record we could be a playoff team needing 3 straight wins on the road with 12 wins like in 2021.

The bigger concern is starting 2-3 or worse is we could miss the playoffs.

Also, this isn’t a Dak thread . So won’t comment.

As critical as I am of Dak it is not the time to rock the boat. Gonna have to ride this year out with Dak until the wheels come off because we still have a shot.

We are all grateful for another anti Dak thread, at 2-1 on the season.

Lance will not be ready at any point this season and won’t see any live action until next preseason. If anyone other than Dak plays QB, it will be Rush. Things will really have to go South for that even be an option.

This community’s perpetual need to hate on one guy that’s on a team of 53 should show you why we aren’t advancing. No dak fan nor a hater. I’ve said it before I’ll say it again, casuals blame Dak. Watch some film, and get back to me.

Hell I’d let Trey Lance start now. After Sunday’s game against the Cardinals, we can’t look too much worse than that. If anything we’ve already been exposed. Throwing Lance out there would add another unexpected element of the game, throwing off team’s game plans against us.

There isn’t 100% certainty with either scenario you mentioned in your thread title. If the Cowboys start out 2-3 or 3-3 they’ll “probably” miss the playoffs. Their schedule after the bye, with Philly twice, Buffalo and Miami, looks far too difficult to hang in. They’re not going to be close to the team everyone thought they were if they drop to 2-3 or 3-3. That would be an indication the wheels are coming off.

I’ve seen Dak for over seven (7) years…way long enough to realize that he isn’t anything special, and will lead us to nothing but heartache.
