Joseph had a couple plays today and got beat easily for a TD. I don’t like Brown much either. He’s the weakness in the pass def. I just can’t picture this team making a serious run with Anthony Brown. If Jerry is serious about this year they should trade for an upgrade at CB. There’s a lot of talk Sean Murphy Bunting is available from Tampa Bay. He started all their games for their Super Bowl defense and would be an immediate upgrade. I’d feel better about Brown going into the slot to compete with Bland.

bottom line is if Joseph or Wright have to get any real playing time we’re screwed. They missed on those picks.

BTW one WR I’d watch out for is Kendrick Bourne. He seems to fit our offense and his role has diminished with NE.

We have one of the top CBs in the league, two ok veterans, and Bland has been solid for a rookie.

I don't see any unit to be worried about on defense than the DTs.

He got beat for a play where the line got zero Pressure.

The bears had 131 yards passing. What the hell do some of you fans want? I am dead serious like dude?

I am not trying to be a smart alec but seriously dude, we haven't given up 200 yard passing in like..5/7 games. Have one of the best coverage units in the league. Every corner gets beat.

This isn't 1992 where the Cowboys can pay to have have more all-pros than the opposing team.

I would absolutely take Stephon Gilmore though. Absoloodle!

There wasn’t a lot Joseph could do on that play. The TE had way too much space to work with but the body of work isn’t good enough beyond that one play.

I agree with you. I'm more concerned about CB then WR. If Diggs or Brown go down then we're hurting.

Its the weak link for the most part. That said giving up 200 yards rushing isn't a good thing. I will admit the Bears decided they couldn't pass to win once they fell far behind and decided to just run the ball. All defenses up by that many points are going to try to prevent long passes and give up some runs. Bears have a good run attack and Fields can flat out fly. Looked like he could hit another gear anytime he wanted to hit it. He has a chance to be really good.

I'm more concerned with d line run stopping and linebacker run tackling.

The combination of CD-Gallup and Brown returning along with Washington and the 3 TEs is enough pass catchers imo.

At CB Joseph needs to step his game up and maybe Wright finally show something. Bland is fine to go with Diggs and Brown.

At DL/LB run stoppers Galli and Hill are replaceable with upgrades.
Cox has been a no show but Clark debuted decently.

Would still prefer additional run stopping LB and DT over present personnel.

We haven’t given up 200 yards passing in weeks. What are we concerned about? It should be be Osa defense in any way shape or form.

NFL Personnel 101 - everyone on your roster needs to be All-pro if not your FO is trash...

Brown is what he is a top 32 CB in the league, he is not Jalen Ramsey but he is not Mo Claiborn either. As with other positions on a team if you can get a upgrade that is cheaper or on par you do that. I think the broadcasters said it best, "teams are full of roles players that support the super stars." This team has suffered through many years in the past with horrible CB play remember Brown is getting the Brandon Carr treatment and IMHO better than Carr was especially at the price point.
