I admire Nick Saban

Poor Lane Kiffin.

Maybe Jerry will hire him to replace Garrett.

Sabin is a garbage human being. I could never admire anything bout him other than his downfall.

I stopped respecting him when he was trying to block that kid from transferring to Georgia. He had let others transfer to rival sec schools but was blocking this kid specifically.

Yes he's a football coach and his job is to win but he's coaching young men and this particular one was graduating. I believe the rule is that if the student is a graduate he is immediately eligible to play the same year and if he wanted to go he should be able to.

Saban is not the only one doing it.

I guess if you let one go it kinda sets a standard.

On the other hand these kids have a 4 year window to play College football.

IMO, if you plan on using the player in a significant role then you shouldn't let them leave if you don't want to.

IF they are just riding pine for you then let them go.

Don't really care for him....However I might like him if he came back to WV to become WVU's HC. <evil grin>

My point of the thread really wasnt about Saban but as a metaphor for incompetent coaches, both HCs & cordinators, who consistently get passes for bad game plans, bad play calling, bad schemes and inability to make adjustments. Seems like its always players that are blamed and not the coaches who devise the bad schemes and call the game.

never have liked Lane Kiffin since his days a USC

Greatest modern day college football coach of all time. Like him or not, all he does is win.

Metaphors typically sail here. You have to speak very plainly on this board...
