with the way this year has gone.......and all of our wasted potential.......
the only solice is that we are a guaranteed playoff team, and as Oakland (1980) and Pittsburgh (2005) proved, you can be a wildcard team and win it all.....
I am tired of our overly conservative offense. I am tired of our lack of dominant running game. I am tired of NO PASS RUSH. I am tired of our secondary looking like swiss cheese. I am tired of our coaches not being able to make adjustments. I am tired of Parcells (never have liked him), Zimmer (wish he would have taken the Nebraska job), TO (never liked him), Rivera (he has been a complete waste of money).....JJ (I swear this guy has horrible vision for a running back, he runs into his blockers more than any back I have ever seen).....Carpenter (though it isn't all his fault, but I wanted Manny Lawson, and with the Ellis injury, Lawson would give us the physical presence to have a studly player opposite Ware)
and I just knew our defense would fall to crap once Ellis got hurt. Ellis gets bashed a lot for not having gaudy numbers, but ******, the last two seasons when his playing time was either diminished or cut short due to injury.....our defense became pathetic. Numbers do not tell the full story of Ellis' impact on our defense. There is a reason why he is my fave defensive player....it is cause he is the backbone of our defense....and since he has been out, we have NO SPINE....
I hated Newman and Roy in college, HOOK EM HORNS, but I am so thankful they are on the team. I am also glad we drafted Watkins, Ware, Spears, Canty, Hatcher, and Ratliff.....
