Well, it is done. I am officially not a Dallas Cowboys fan after over 60 years of loyalty. The franchise that was built by Clint Murchison, Tex Schram, Tom Landry, Jimmy Johnson and a bunch of great players built a huge reservoir of goodwill.

Jerry has frittered all of that away so that your Dallas Cowboys are the laughing stock of the NFL.

Hiring Shottenheimer was the official last straw. I am out.

I then watched the press conference with Schotty, Jethro and Uncle Jed. What an absolute joke. Here are the highlights:

  • Jethro admitted being angry at himself but then said he was the best man to do something about his mistakes.
  • Schotty, the new Jethro puppet, said the team will win quickly and that Dak would play at an elite level.
  • Uncle Jed used air quotes to dismiss the idea that the Cowboys have been in a 30-year drought of playoff appearances and wins. He then said they were going to take a long hard look at the way they handled free agency.
  • Jethro then said that hiring Schotty was a huge risk.
I watched all that with a big Texas grin on my face. The entire press conference reeked of Jethro trying to convince the fans to continue to fund his bank account with the fans' money.

Man, it is great not caring one iota about this ugly franchise and the leaders, Jethro, Uncle Jed, Schotty, and let's not forget Dakota, the QB who selves injures himself.

Watching this poop show just made me smile and laugh at several of the suggestions. Dak elite, Jethro angry at himself, Uncle Jed using air quotations, Schotty a 25 year utility infielder being given the HC job. All are a continuation of the BS we have been fed for 30 years.

I am so happy to be free of this addiction. Free at last, free at last, good God Almighty I am free at last.

Enjoy being a sucker. There is one born every minute.

Are you?

So will You :
A) Follow a new sport (I'd recommend Rugby League, it's fast paced and violent with rules that are far easier to understand than Rugby Union).
B) Focus more on a sport that You currently follow, with a team that has more chance of winning.
C) Pick a new NFL team to follow, one with a decent chance of success and a hands-off Owner.
D) Have an epic sulkathon and slink back if Da Boyz start unexpectedly winning.
