I believe T.Parrish will be the final piece to the puzzle to solidfy our D. Similar when we got Thomas Everett during our Super Bowl runs in the 90's. T.Parrish was a FS in college, and converted to SS after rookier yr in NFL. If healthy, this move will prolong his career. Now our safetys will be interchangable like when RWill was teamed with DWood. Parrish is a leader and makes plays on the ball unlike our FS, just ask Bledsoe what happened last year vs SF. TP took one to the house on Drew. Now we have no weakness on D. 3 huge DL, 4 tough Lbs, 3 solid Cbs, 2 hard hitting safety's. And we have depth at all positions except NT. Let's hope Parrish is healthy.

Hopefully you're right, but it will take him some time to earn the playing spot. At least this gives Watkins someone with experience to learn from, not to mention more competition as well.

It's hard to make the comparison to Thomas Everett. Didn't we trade for Everett in the beginning of the 1992 season? He had an entire season with the team.

Parrish is coming in with only 4 games remaining.

Hard to annoint him as a savior when it may take that many games to understand our schemes.

well, there is that pass rush thing and Parcells' unhappiness with Canty-Spears... I am fairly optimistic that they will step it up soon though (fingers crossed)

I like the Parrish pick up and I think he will get a ton of playing time in the post season... He may be BP Everson Walls... some of you young guys may have to google that!

I thought I read that Parrish has like 30 career INTs...

thats a TON of INTs for anyone, even if they have a long career. Bodes well, I hope.

Mmmhmm. Including 20 in a 3 year period from '02-'04. When's the last time we had a player do anything like that?

Course to some 2 or 3 years ago is ancient history. And perhaps rightfully so. What he has left remains to be seen.

I read in one of the article, it was saying that BP wanted Parrish to play this Sunday. I don't remember which article exactly, i read too many.

I don't think our entire TEAM has ever had 20 INTs in a 2 or 3 year period.
but i guess the point is that Parrish knows how to play the ball and CATCH it when someone like ShEli hits him in the chest with it...

Thats the great thing about Tony Parrish is his awareness, he's a veteran and knows how to play the ball BUT is his playing speed still good?

Thats what I'm curious about

i wonder what kind of special teams player parrish is...that is one way to get on the field pretty quickly is by playing ST
