I didn't realize we had 30 players on the last year of their deals

30 seems about right. Some of them may not make the team as they were signed to one year deals. They had 16 last year, and 23 the year before. Both which were low compared to many previous years when they had 28 to 35.

Yup if you look at the cowboys contracts for 2025 there ain't many, fewer for 26 and beyond.

No, it isn't. The Cowboys are set up to be good every year.

That’s why they and Dak want him to get paid BEFORE the impending choke job coming. Have to suffer another four or five years, including another no trade clause. SMDH
Who is 'they', the Dak stan fan club? Of course they want Dak signed, and they don't care how crippling of a contract he gets. THEY wouldn't care if Dak was getting 90% of the cap. They're Dak fans first, to heck with the rest of the team.

That's the reason why some of us on this forum has been saying the rebuild starts in 2025...

This is why many are saying next offseason could be worse than this past offseason. Just imagine Dak moving on in free agency, Zack retiring, or moving on and DLaw moving on. We’ll likely have to deal with Parsons holding out for a contract that may rival what Dak got a few years ago. I keep telling everyone they better enjoy this season because things could start to go real south beginning in 2025.

Thanks for the proper context.

But like let’s say they have a strong year. 10-7. 34 td and 8 int. And they play the wildcard round at home and get smacked around and dak throws 3 int and the crowd boos and ceedee is yelling and Micah is pouting etc

You fire the coach and bring the qb back ?
Jsut get a new guy. New guys can win it too

Feels like they just waited for Bree’s and Eli and Andy Reid and Aaron Rodgers to retire or leave the division and now it’s a whole new crew of guys smacking them around anyways.

And even worse, most of the coaching staff as well. You all know what happens to lame ducks, they get shot.

This is the result of Nepo Boy’s cap genius.
No it is typical, with most teams. Just as most teams go through a 20% to 35% roster turnover every year. Some teams at times will be as low as 20%.

So Dallas has 95 guys on the roster. 42 contracts expire in 2024. 25 in 2025. A real organization like the Baltimore Ravens currently has 93 guys on the roster. 27 contracts done in 2024. 17 in 2025. GB has 93 guys on the roster. 39 done in 2024. 11 done in 2025. KC has 91 guys under contract. 41 done in 2024. 11 in 2025.

If you think this contract set up is normal you need to stop drinking the Kool Ade.

If they give Dak an extension, it will be before the season starts. Then we'll have to grin and bear it.

Did you cherry pick those teams?
As I said some times only a 20% turnover.
You proved nothing.

Cherry pick? Get a coffee or some fish oil. Those are traditionally well run teams. Man be better.
