...QC at quarterback would not have us sitting at 5-8 with three games to go. I think losing/cutting him in training camp preatty much did our season in. That and the fact of limited activity in the free agent market. This team will be gutted this off season!!!

I can't stand Vinny.. I hate the guy.. but if we had a #1 ranked D this year.. we would have more wins... QC is not the answer.. let's move on!

Listen, I agree that we probably wouldn't be sitting at 5-8 right now, however, let's just try to concentrate on what we do have.

I even wonder if Aikman would still be playing right now, if we never cut him. He didn't want to retire and we pretty much forced him to. Not to mention that he is STILL quite a bit younger than VT is.

One could go back and and forth and play this game all the time, but facts are facts.....he's not on the team now.

I was pissed when we drafted Carter in round 2, not a fan his rookie year. Was why Not put Hutchinson in at the time. After watching Chad go 2-7 I went full steam behind Carter as the better QB to WIN GAMES 2003.........He won the job, improved arm strength and accuracy and led us to playoffs and nice 10-6 season. Team was on an upbeat. Was Carter perfect - no? But QB's generally get better as they get that critical experience.

The day Carter was cut and 42 Year old VT was now our "starter". I lost all my steam. I couldn't get into him running our Team. Henson never an option but a guy looking to get back into football after 3 season playing baseball.

Listen to what Brownsugar said a ways back - I believe she was dead on.

The Carter cut, right or wrong, Put this season into a tailspin. We never recovered and all this VT is an upgrade rant is going South fast.......... JMO

VT's stats

2004 13 12 398 235 59.0 2891 7.26 53 14 17 23/135 42 4 75.5

2004 7 3 58 35 60.3 498 8.59 69 3 1 12/70 4 3 98.2

Lets compare - Carter has better winning %, better percentage completion%, better Yards per attempt, better TD/Inter ratio, higher passer rating

and what 200 years younger? :p

He cut himself. Figure it out guys. Wright or wrong, that is a fact.

Anytime you cut a starting QB, there's going to be some adjustment. A "tailspin", however?? I don't know if I'd go quite that far regarding Quincy Carter's importance to the team.

By the way, Quincy didn't play DEFENSE when he was here, did he?

Quincy Carter's 2003 stats...

Quincy Carter- 16 505 31.6 292 57.8 3302 206.4 64 17 21 37 185 71.4

Hmmmmm... ;)

Nors...now you know better than that! :D You can't compare an entire season's worth of work from Vinny to Carter's 2 games THIS YEAR!! That's hilarious!

I posted Carter's 2003 stats (the ones you should have used instead) already and you will note the similarity to Vinny's stats. Actually, Vinny has a higher completion percentage but Carter's passer rating is slightly better. Basically, it's "Mediocre QB # 1" Vs "Mediocre QB #2."

You should try another angle please. ;)
