Looking at some of these names outside of Eberflus for DC, I dont see any guys who are really regarded as good coordinators or position coaches associated with the interview process. I wasnt a B Schott fan by not means but I am hoping for a positive outcome but I hope this staff isnt going to be a bunch of no namers smh .

Lots of good ones out there.....some we have heard of and some we have not.

I realize that it's hard to accept Brian schottenheimer and what his staff might be but you gotta remember Dan Campbell wasn't a very accepted name and the people he built his original staff with over there those guys were no names until they weren't I mean you do realize that as a whole maybe this will look a lot better once they get the entire staff together then you have pictured in your head we need to let it get finished and then we can start talking about who they pick what we might expect it and what not..

They're doing those interviews this week so we'll know by Friday probably who the entire Staffs are...

But I'm sure if you like either flus he's gonna bring most of his guys at least most of them so you have to trust he's gonna put together a pretty solid staff to give himself a shot..

The offensive side I am still curious like Anthony lynn's name came up there's some other names trickling in I'm hoping he picks somebody that actually can call plays that if needed if he decides he doesn't wanna do that and be a walk around coach which I would be more on board with then we need a better name there for sure darling.

Think about it this way I try to use perspective aligned with common sense all these things that just lost all these coordinators they're supposed to be the best coordinators available what are they gonna do how are they gonna look trying to fill those positions I mean if these guys were as good as they're being advertised which I don't think they are there's some of it was the roster and the rest of the coaching staff it was the entire teams structure that made them good but what are they gonna do I mean they gotta turn around and replace all these names and hope that it just keeps going but if it does I don't see how that's any different than our situation we need to put it together and then let's see how it flows...

Jimmy vs Schott... hmmmm Id trust Jimmy and his no names back in that time vs Schott and the band of who will come for pennies bc the FO doesnt like to overpay in that area.
Actually no one did they were pretty angry that Tom Landry got fired and didn't like Jimmy Johnson especially after he went one in 15 and then 3 and 13 people were pretty upset at Jerry and Jimmy for making these big moves.. Apparently your memory is either going by the Internet or it it lost some facts but there was even a moment where Troy Aikman there was a quarterback controversy with one of the Stevens I can't remember we had somebody else on the team but there was a time where everything about that move the early Jerry Jones ownership era where people were angry they were controversies so yeah I think maybe you don't get it now because you that you trusted Jimmy back then but I don't really believe you remember the tone and the temperature of the fan base back then..

it turned out good but again I already said it my other reply to, Dan Campbell staff with a no name staff he was not a big name he was not acceptable a lot of people were grumbling and here we go again with the lions and it turned out pretty well for them...

Hadn’t Jimmy’s staff already won a college national championship?
Yes.

Small thing people are leaving out to glamourize the worst HC hire and search in memory.
Yes, but the thing was ... oh a college coach never has had success in the NFL. Blah, blah type of stuff.
So the consensus was, these guys with a new owner were not going to be successful.
I am not predicting any success, or making an analogy here. Just saying we have no idea yet.

I was living in South Florida at that time. Every on was telling me it was a great hire.

A Norte Dame fan, absolutely hated Jimmy and the Hurricanes. Because he was always beating the Irish.
Told me, 2 things, thank you, for getting Jimmy out of the college ranks. And that we got a great coach. He hated him, but admitted how good of a coach he was.

I don't think Schotty even saw it coming
having your interview be 10 hours split over two days there was discussion over who possibly BS wanted for his staff and I'm sure there's a list but you do realize it's a process right first of all they're not gonna tell you their list but they have to do the Rooney rule interviews they have to set up interviews and they may have guys already in mind they'd rather hire but they still have to go through the process...

And by the way ,

if this was a done deal the old faith narratives or I should say false narratives around here that Jerry already handpicked the entire staff ,which included Jason Witten, therefore it would already be put together and we would have more names..hmm

well that's been blown away, the Jason Witten story apparently was fake ,there may be a time when Jerry will want to give Jason Witten a chance, but this wasn't this time.

that narrative was absolutely false,

that that's the reason Mike McCarthy refused his new deal or they couldn't come to it wasn't years it wasn't money and it wasn't Jason Witten..

I'm betting it was the more obvious that Jerry Jones wanted Mike McCarthy to step down as the play caller and hire a new offensive staff and it didn't work out,

so it wasn't sudden, but yes it was a surprise for everyone, and I'm including Jerry..

I think he was blown away in the interviews because Kellen Moore was his favorite, I believe that who was coming here, but because he was held up on the formal interview,

Brian schottenheimer must have not only said the right things ,he impressed Jerry to a point, Jerry did research he called Pete Carroll ,he talked to some ex coaches, who were Brian schottenheimer's peers and whatever was said in all those meetings and phone calls led to this hire.

So you’re ’giving them the benefit of the doubt’?

Yes, it is all we can do at this point. To bad they don't have a Herschel Walker to sucker a team into trading.
Oh, maybe Micah?

Pretty sure he went 1-15 and then 7-9 the following season and was on the brink of making the playoffs. As long as you're criticizing memories, try to be accurate.

My benefit of the doubt left town a long time ago.

The onus is firmly on the team that’s failed for 30 years to show me.

OK so my memory was inverted i knew there was 3-13 mixed in , but those were many bad years though, that's what i'm saying..
