No matter what anyone says about his velocity at the Combine, he definitely has below average arm strength. Maybe if he spent more time conditioning and less time playing golf he'd be stronger.

Fair enough, but he is no Brady or Manning. He is a journeyman who makes some big plays but also makes lots of costly mistakes. He will not lead us to anything of significance.

well my counter to that is, who else has Brady and Manning on thier team? Teams can and have won championshis with above average "journeyman" QBS (Brad Johnson anyone?) If we can upgrade the rest of the organization then we'll be a serious contender.

I am not opposed to upgrading the position if possible, though.

Maybe I'm crazy, but how in the world is this loss on Romo and not on Parcells and the absolutely pathetic playcalling? What excuse is there that we are even in position to lose this game? If you had told me before kickoff that the defense was going to play half as well as it did tonight, I couldn't have imagined we wouldn't have won this game by at least two touchdowns. I hope Jerry is as upset as I am with this coaching, and I'm very happy at the thought of Tony Romo being our quarterback for many seasons to come.

The empathy is exhausted, he deserves to not sleep tonight. His job is to win and he didn't/ hasn't.

He's #9 because of Roy Hobbs in "The Natural".

It is surreal how his career is like Hobbs in the movie. He starts off as a star from nowhere, takes a big set back (and didn't Hobbs fool around with women or something), but in the end he wins it all.

I am still on the Romo bandwagon. This will make it more sweat when he leads us to the promised land.

The major question I have is, what will this do to Romo's confidence? This is a terrible terrible way to lose a football game.

If Romo can bounce back then I want him as our QB. If his confidence is shot the we may have to look elsewhere. However, we're not at that point yet.

Oh, by the way, how many teams have their starting QB as their field goal kicker? That should have been addressed a long time ago.

I agree that he shouldn't be the holder, but my reasons are different. In a pressure game, QB being hit and slammed down, the nerves of a QB that's been playing should not be under that type of pressure. He should concentrate on quarterbacking and not holding.

Romo is someone who needs optimal circustances to succeed - good running game, good pass protection and receiver who can catch his lollipops without suffering major injuries.

You can win with him but you're not going to win because of him. The league has enough tape on him now that his skills have been nullified.

We should draft a QB high this year to start his development. Romo can start for another year before turning over the reins.

Everybody is blaming Romo, granted he failed on the hold. But he drove us down the field to a winning score. Also, he did not mess anything up. Finally, I was worried that after over a minute left, I was not confident the defense would hold.

What I was most critical was I bet there was alot of open receivers. Any think we have a good future

Some people here act like Romo is really a Pro Bowl level QB. He is really just a journeyman who put up some good numbers against bad defenses before the league learned to adjust to him.

He will be nothing more than an average QB and for a franchise that is used to competing for Super Bowls, that is not good enough. He is not the long-term answer here. We need to start grooming someone else now.

Romo could be a good backup QB - wouldn't mind keeping him around for that purpose but the punter would have to hold on the kicks.
