I Got Something In My Eye

There was something like this done last season by another team. I feel the same now as I did then...Everyone will remember that moment, not just the kid who scored.

We need more of that type of thing in sports.

I remember that, handicapped boy if I recall. Equally touching.

I have coached youth teams for many years and have met a lot of coaches and even players who were jerks and had bad attitudes, but its this kind of lesson that truly makes a coach and the players great.

In a society where kids are taught winning alone is not enough, that you must destroy and demoralize your opponent, it is nice to see some coaches and people in position that greatly impact the attitudes and personalities of today's youth are teaching them the right way.

These are always the most rewarding things to see when it comes to sports. I love to see people who just do the right thing.

That is the important part. It is a great thing to let a youth with a disability feel special by doing something like this. However it is at the same time equally as great to instill a sense of character and class in the other athletes and coaches.

I am sure they will remember that for the rest of their lives and hopefully it might change a few of them for the better.

Great gesture.

I'd have chased him down and dove and missed at him to really sell the moment.

Either that or let him run you over.

They tried this with Tashard Choice but he ran out of bounds.

I thought he saw Vick, dropped the football and proceeded to get an autograph. It's all running together in my head now.

Ah darn you, Hos! *sniff

Dusty round here too. Dang allergies.
;)

I can only imagine how emotional the parents of that young man were as that unfolded.

Good stuff. Thanks for posting and next time I won't look at it when I am cutting onions. Those d*** things make your eyes watery if you guys don't know.

It would have been neat if they chased him, but it may have spooked him to not run the right direction.

Imagine him getting up the next day and reading his name in the paper.

Good stuff.
