I have been a saints fan for my entire life. We have had to endure bad season after bad season (although i admit aside from last year weve been more mediocre than bad this millenium.) You guys have one several superbowls so i guess you have higher expectations.
Ive read so many threads on this board today that are basically talking like the season is over, and thats just crazy talk.
The Saints franchise is the most losingest franchise in nfl history but we are also known for having fans that just dont give a damn about that. We are there every year, every game no matter how many decades of crap we have to endure. Its called hope. Its called belief. The fans do make a difference you know!
Dallas fans leaving the stadium and allowing our guys to turn it into a home game victory was very sad in my opinion. As much as it would be fun to gloat and pop off some trash talk I cant. I understand that feeling a little too well to try to make anyone feel worse.
Its just 1 game. If you guys blow out ATL next weekend youll be the media darlings all over again. The saints game will be looked at as a letdown after a major division win.
Hell...i'm just waiting on the article in a few days that explains why dallas is still a better playoff contender than new orleans. Mark my words

That would be a tough sell!

The Saints thoroughly dominated essentially from start to finish.

Payton and Gibbs knew just how to attack the Cowboys both offensively and defensively (surprising that their "superiors" couldn't do that).

You might be in for a long wait. I can't imagine what kind of a crackhead would think so after such a lopsided victory. Heck the folks on this board wouldn't even say that at this point I don't think. That said if the two teams see eack other again in the playoffs I doubt it would be a replay of what was seen last night.

Nice post for a great fan. Come back and post more. Congrats on a great win last night. You've got a good coach and team. Maybe we'll see each other again. Cya.

I am not sad at all. I am one of the fans and I think that last night was just one of Payton's tricks that he got. He knows Romo more than Romo himself, he is the one who drafted him and the one wanted to take to NO. He totally took out the option of rolling out and made him make plays from the pocket, not that he can't, but something he hasn't seen much of this year. It wasn't even a year ago when Payton was calling plays for the cowboys and watch them practice everyday. Basically Payton knows the Cowboys too well.

I want to say this, and I think alot of people will doubt me and think I am crazy, but BP didn't reveal all that he had in his playbook just in case we meet again. Yes every game is very important and a win is a win, but when the Saints got ahead by a good margin he basically did kinda took the defeat and didn't try much after that.

Washington is a blitz happy team too I see Brees getting another 300 yd possibly 400 yds against the Skins.

I thought it was a good post, but you are right, we are not used to losing and we are not used to the sorry slop we saw on the field last night. It is not acceptable, and I don't blame people for leaving when our team decided to take an off day.

First off let me congradulate you guys for the arse wipping your team handed to us. Now that makes 5 straight games the Saints have beaten us. I had a bad feeling we would lose but I didn't figure it would be a blowout.

Oh well back to the drawing board but I have a feeling we have been exposed big time now and Parcells needs to change the game planning or something or we will be in trouble from here on out.

Good luck to you guys the rest of the way. Your team is clicking at the right time and Brees is red hot. It must be nice to be a Saints fan about now.

You guys have a heck of a team. Great QB, Nice RB tandom. Your WR's played great also, but as of right now..thats all you need. the big name WR that can actually play. (not just the name) u guyz have a bright future. And the same goes for my cowboys. good luck, and I hope we meet later on...

GO DALLAS!!!:starspin
