I just wish and pray the wheels fall off next year so we can draft Manning

Not sure it can happen but with this clown show anything is possible.
Certainly have the right schedule to be bad but I keep hearing Manning is going to play two more years at Texas. He will probably set a record with an NIL deal.

A decent chance that he is a bust.
Definitely possible. He hasn't played enough to be able to tell. He certainly has the physical traits so far though. I wouldn't bet against him.

'27 looks like an incredible draft for blue chip guys. Lots of time between now and then but rather than tanking we should be trying to trade down next year and or move guys to acquire picks in that draft.

If the F.O. wants to draft Manning they should try to trade this years 2nd round pick to Cleveland for their 2026 1st round pick.

If the Cowboys are picking first in 2026, Arch is ours. He's coming out.
He and all his family have said that he wants two full years of starting in college. Which is the intelligent thing to do. He is VERY inexperienced at this time.
And once again many highly touted High school QBs bomb.
It is a very unrealistic assumption that he will be as good as you think he will be

Manning is a lame setup for the "why" instigator

He has all the family knowledge and physical tools...yet will make a ton of mistakes in the NFL that Eli and Peyton have discussed a million times on their Manning-Cast not to do.

Its like, if you the best knowledge ever at your disposal, but couldnt throw the ball out of bounds and took 15 yard sacks consistently.

It makes no sense. Its a set-up to frustrate.

2024 stats:

Ewers 445 attempts 65.8 comp % 3472 yds, 7.8 avg 31 TD 12 INT 149 rtg
57 carries for -82 yds rushing 2 rush TD

Arch 90 attempts. 67.8 comp % 939 yds 9TD 2 INT 179 rtg
25 carries for 108 yds rushing 4 rush TD

One was a redshirt freshman, the other played three seasons. Arch will be fine and is already light years ahead of Ewers. It is not a guarantee that he develops to be the #1 pick but I wouldn’t bet against it.

limited playing time means nothing; what he did really is irrelevant. ONCE he becomes the starter, then the clock starts on him.
This idea he is going to be a great QB has no real evidence to support it.
None of this would be happening if his last name was smith.

True. That could be said about any quarterback. But the Manning name and his built-in family situation suggest he may be a continuation of the Manning dynasty in the NFL.
We shall see.

He could be the next Andrew Luck but if our FO doesn’t change how they operate in team building I’m not sure he’d make a difference even if he does turn into a stud.

Show me a son of a HOF player that made the HOF. I think that list is very short. And he is not even the son of a HOF.
Which is why I simply do not buy into the Manning name hype
