We have a still young defense, and they're still going to get better with every game they play together.
That said, it really pleases me to look at our schedule.
The Jaguars don't have a very good offense, especially if Fred Taylor can't make an impact. And when Fred Taylor plays... he makes an impact. This is a good test for our rush defense from the get go. Anytime Taylor got 20 carries or more he got 76 yards or more rushing (only had less than 100 yards rushing once).
They did play some vanilla defenses last year though.
Week two we got washington, and hopefully we can catch them before they get their offense clicking. They're playing a tough vikings defense in week one, so hopefully this will be the case.
Too bad about our early bye, but what can you do?
Tennessee comes up after them, and there is no chance we lose against them. they're no good.
Philadelphia's offense doesn't scare me at all either.
Then we got Davis less Houston...
Our first real offensive test will be against new york. Then we get a string off high powered offenses..., but the defense should be acclimated to playing pretty well by then.
