It baffles me that we are able to post about other teams. You wouldn't go to a sports bar that's cowboys only, and bring up eagles news!! Every time I get on here, and see this beautiful magnificent forum being wasted with other teams news, my stomach hurts!!! Make it stop, take the pain away!!!!

I agree. If you want to hear about other players go to that teams website. Also, I don't care about former Cowboys players that have been gone for years unless they are coming back here for some reason. If folks want to see who is going where, go to NFL.com

normally i'd agree but i think free agency is an exception because many of these players getting signed by other teams were wanted by us. Prevents those "what about signing this player?" threads if we already know they are no longer available.

Exactly this is time to be an NFL fan, the Cowboys dont participate in making their team better anyway so might as well talk about the teams that are

True but I'd go into a Cowboys bar and talk about any NFL news about any team and any player, I'm a fan of football just happen to love the Cowboys.

Exactly!

Most people know we are quite strict about not allowing non-Cowboys threads in the Fan Zone, but ..

1) this is the off-season

2) free agency just started

3) signings, trades, etc. by other teams impact the Cowboys in many ways

Another team signing a player means the Cowboys did not sign them. Since some fans have their FA favorites, it's good to let them know that the player is no longer available.

It is also helpful and informative knowing the contract details the other team paid because it could have a direct impact on other FA players the Cowboys may sign as well as what it will cost for the Cowboys to extend their existing players as their contracts end.

Another reason fans want to know about players signed is how it impacts the other NFC East teams, whether they lost key players, gained key players or, like the Cowboys, missed out on would-be upgrades to their rosters.

We only allow this during FA week, so it's hardly a reason to get worked up over it.
