It's been nearly ten years since I've worked out regularly, but after watching my abs and my muscle mass slowly disappear over the last ten years, having just quit smoking, and realizing my metabolism is starting to change...it's time to remedy that.

I just started a fairly intensive workout regiment that's been kicking my *** for the last week. It's a good mixture of cardio, endurance, and strength training...but I'm having a hard time with soreness and recovery. It's a six day a week workout routine, so I need to find a better way to get my muscles to recover quickly than bananas and water.

What supplements would you guys suggest? I usually don't have a energy problem, but any of them that give me more energy is a plus too. I like getting things done all day.

you need to stop working out 6 days a week

you need to give your body time to heal a little bit

I suggest working out 3 days a week, could do 4, which is what I used to do

Monday:

chest
triceps

Wednesday:

biceps
back - lower, middle

Friday:

Legs
Shoulders

or Friday:

Shoulders

Saturday:

Legs

sometimes in between days working out w/ weights, I do pushups and sit-ups

the only supplements I take are eating Power Bars, usually the ones that are 32 grams

There have been tests performed on various individuals that have shown some muscle recuperation and recovery can take up to six weeks. I would never work out any body part more than twice a week-especially to exhaustion. Those muscles have to repair. I used to run on the treadmill and work out and it fried my legs making them skinnier than when I started.

I learned to keep my heartbeats per minute around 130 which equated to around 3.3 on the treadmill which is only a brisk walk for 45 minutes 4x a week. I kept my leg mass and still kept the metabolism up to lose fat. I did the Keto diet as well this past Spring and lost 20 lbs of fat and my cholesterol went from 316 to 180. I have never had such success with losing bodyfat and keeping muscle until I started the Keto diet and being smarter about what workload I put on my body. I never thought that walking fast on the treadmill could do jack for me. But some big time bodybuilders changed that thought process and I was glad I listened. It was everything I could do to not crank that treadmill up.

You need these 4 things.

Exercise and take these daily and you will feel like Superman. These will only make you healthier too. Thats what its all about.

Your Breakfast shake.

I've been drinking that exact breakfast shake monday - friday for the last 5 months.

You can literally feel the healthyness of it pumping through your body the entire day and it tastes great.

Dont worry about the Ocean vegetable Stuff you dont need that.

You can also use strawberries in it as well.

1. Protein Powder - Any Protein Powder that has Whey protein in it is a good one to pick up. Walmart has a can you can get for 15 bucks. Does the trick.

2. Fish Oil/Omega 3 - Americans lack Omega 3's BIGTIME in our diets. It is an essential for your body and once you start taking it daily its like riding on 3 good tires and one flat to riding on 4 aired up tires.

3.

Green Tea has so many health benefits. It helps curb your apetite, boost energy, and boost your metabolism as well.

Taking these pills isn't bad for you either. Its just like drinking a cup of green tea except its in pill form and you get all the same benefits. I dont put anything in my body that doesn't make me healthier from a supplement stand point.

They aren't expensive at all either.

4. Vitamin C

It just helps your body out so much. Its good stuff.

Hit the Water too.

Do those 4 things combined with Exercise and youll feel like Super Man.
