Go back and look at the early 2000s draft results when Jerry and his drinking buddies were making the board. I don’t want to go back to that.

And other than 2005, the Parcells era drafts left much to be desired as well.

If they blew a second round pick today then oh well. Doesn’t mean it was about McClay.

I personally think they had Overshown ranked over Simpson, so that's why they made the pick.

Overshown made up for what Simpson has over him athletically with instincts.

He's athletic in his own right with a 9.42 RAS.

Maybe there are better guards on the FA market..but not many better LBs right there.

Is it? The team has drafted a 2-down NT, a blocking TE, and a hybrid linebacker. He’s an offensive coach (allegedly). If it was me, I’d be going down fighting with weapons. This offense is the same as last year plus Cooks minus Schultz dependability.

McCarthy has just a little more influence on the Cowboys draft than you do.
