I really think that there should be specific threads for certain topics

To keep things more organized and less..."messy", and to prevent duplicates, we should have specific threads for things. Like: "The Music Thread", or "The News Thread", or "The YouTube Thread". Thoughts?

We have one for images, but to force users to have to post everything in preset threads is not really something we want to do or enforce. We have a book and movie thread already that I and many other users rarely ever read. There's just too many posts you won't care for in those kinds of threads that you would have to sort through. Images work because they are best viewed in batches rather than one per thread.

The problem with that, imo, is that it would be impossible to sift through 30 pages of text with so many sub topics in it.

Most forum goers, myself included, will not even bother with a thread if it is more than 4-5 pages before they get involved with it.

I'm not sifting through pages of pages of stuff, and I assume anything I have to be say, has already been said.

Instead of duplicate threads, you just get duplicate posts, within a thread. And ultimately you tend to get the same handful of people doing all the posting in them.
