I think I'm screwed... the SuperBowl

I'm on a Superbowl board that has 25 squares.

I have one square with two numbers in it for each team. Two numbers for the NFC and two for the AFC.

The numbers pay off at the end of each quarter depending on the score.

I have a square that has two numbers inside of it.

NFC 0 - 3

AFC 2 - 8

For example: If any quarter, or end of the game ends in the NFC 3 and the AFC 8...I would win some coin. And after the next quarter starts you keep adding the score until the 2nd qtr is over, on and on.

What score after each quarter could add up to those numbers...

I would win.

I just don't see how these stupid numbers of mine can win any potential score.

I won't tell you how much I paid for these crappy numbers and I can't think of any situation where my number could win.

2 is usually a bad number tho. only likely to catch a 32

Yeah, you're pretty much screwed. I actually have a little SB Squares calculator I build last year with historical game data. By my calculations, you have only a 6% chance of winning anything. (If you had average numbers, you'd have around a 15% chance).

My office has 100 squares. I've got 4 (Giants) and 3 (Patriots). Not the best numbers, but not the worst either. If I hit on every quarter and the final I could win $1,000 of a $10 buy.

We had a $1 a square pool going. My daughter won the first 3 quarters ($20 each) and I won the last ($40). Needless to say, as the pool organizer I was not looked at too fondly.
