We've been screaming for a War Daddy DT for years. Getting Hankins was a good start. Time to step up and invest in a difference maker who plays at a pro bowl level.

So far I'm not overly impressed with the collection of DT's as much as the Cowboys seem to be. We rotate guys in all game and none are game changers. They make an occasional sack or TFL but not consistently.

Kudos to the moves being made. It's time that we take care of our best defensive player. Micah Parsons is undersized and I think it's best we get some beef in there to protect him. Please give your thoughts, do you think we will do this for him???
Hard to protect a guy coming off the edge....DL protect MLBs. He played there some, but not much. I'd be fine if he went inside for the majority of the game, it would probably prolong his career and yes, he would need better DTs to protect him and let him play sideline to sideline

I would make 2 more moves. Resign Hankins and then get on the phone with ATL and go get DQ’s guy Grady Jarrett for the 3-tech. They would be loaded at all 3 levels. We saw last year, Micah is an unworldly talent, but he is human and he cannot be a fulltime passrusher or he will have a short career. I wanted more of that like everyone else, but now we know he cannot do that. Go back to the formula from his rookie year.

How old is Grady these days

Poona Ford from Seattle is available. I saw him play several times in Texas....I like him.

Micah's personality suggests that he is going to wear himself out and have a short career. I'd rather trade him now for a boatload of draft picks.

Lt, Donald and others go all out too. He needs to go back to part-time rusher like most smart fans saw from the jump.

I agree with @Ranching (Coach) you protect Micah by getting some big bullies at DT so #11 can run freely sideline to sideline making plays from MLB. However, they decided he's an Edge Rusher, so good luck Micah...better beef up this offseason.

Parsons usually comes off the edge.....ideally they should let him actually play LB more

but either way DT is needed and a GOOD one who can stuff that hole and not have any leakage and plug it solid

I agree, but it's not his personality, it's how he is being used. He is an elite player for sure, a real playmaker. But sending him after the QB constantly, and matching him up against offensive lineman that are significantly bigger will absolutely shorten his career. Dallas will sign him to a massive contract, only to witness an inevitable premature decline. He could fetch a king's ransom in draft picks now.

NT is a must have. Either Broderic Martin or Jerrod Clark

To better protect and preserve him long term wise, we need to be playing similar to the roles of Von Miller and Hasson Riddick ... Obvious downs and situations he pins his ears back ...

Not forced to take on 340+ lbs OTs on virtually every down, every series, every game ...
