I'm finally getting around to watching film and I just can't believe Bech isn't in the same conversation with these guys.

I mean, I think of having Lamb, Tolbert and Bech and, to me, that's about as good of a receiver room as we could ask for.

Bech reminds me of Nakua. Or maybe even a bigger Welker. Just shifty, runs outstanding routes and knows how to manipulate receivers.

Call me crazy, but I almost want to make him my WR1 in this draft. Seriously.

He's 6'2, 219 lbs and benched 19 reps.

Does he have 4.2 speed?

No.

Is he 6'5''?

No.

But he's just . . . savvy. If your coverage isn't perfect, he'll make you pay.

I'm going out on a limb here and putting this guy maybe right behind TMac.

Anyone else see him on the rise?

He also did a Dallas Day visit. So I'm hopeful.

Guy will be a game changer.

I'm telling you.

I like Bech, but is he really an upgrade over Tolbert, would he draw coverage away from Lamb?

I'll admit I haven't watched film on him either yet I see his name pop up in every mock draft where he was available for me to get early in the draft, I'll check him out later today

oh man, Bech would be lucky to replicate Tolbert ls numbers year 1 and does nothing to draw coverage away from Lamb. I do like him as a power slot however

If we want a bonafide #2 year 1, has to be Tet, Golden, Egbuka or Burden

Who is going to draw coverage from Lamb anyway? He's a top 3-4 WR in the league. Nobody is taking coverage from him.

Edit, TN timestamped me.

But Bech is too slow to be that good. Maybe a useful NFL WR, sure. But better than those other WRs, very doubtful. But then OP has unique ideas on players.

No one we can add will draw coverage away from Lamb.

Tet in the RZ (where we are abysmal) is 100% drawing coverage away from Lamb

I like Bech a lot of have been talking about him for months. Some guys are just crafty as route runners and understanding football and that’s him.

I would think the Cowboys are pretty high on Bech. His style of play should fit right in with the type of system Schottenheimer has talked about all offseason. I'm a little skeptical on what his ceiling in the NFL really is, but he seems like someone who could be a pour mans Cooper Kupp. Excellent day 2 value IMO, but with the Golden hype the Cowboys might be looking more for that multi tool player that can also run well vertically.

This is why you don't take a WR early in the first round unless you know you have a stud like Randy Moss. You can get good WRs in later rounds. No WR in this draft stands out to me so much that I would take them at 12.

CBs are going to stick to him like glue in the NFL.

I think he could be a good WR3 but doesn’t move the ball needle from our current WR much IMO.

Don't know about bech being better but royals, Williams and Noel I can definitely see.

No one is going to draw coverage away from Lamb because everyone knows he’s going to be the 1st option in 80% of the plays!
Bech gives them a # 2 option underneath with someone with the route precision of Beasley in a 220lb frame all alone in single coverage! Difference between him and Beasley is Bech can also play outside giving them the ability to interchange between Bech and Lamb, depending on where they prefer to line up Lamb on any given play.
Don’t know where Bech is going to go, but barring injury he’s going to be compared to Nacua and Kupp within 2 seasons!
