I think he could handle 5 plays on offense every week though. Not using him at all shows you the difference between our offensive minds and KC and San Fran!

San Fran? You mean the team with the coach who was losing games with Lance and was forced to use Jimmy G and then started winning? That coach gets way too much credit for things that have nothing to do with him. I agree on your point, Turpin should be much more involved than he is.

They spread the ball around and are creative using their players -I thought the Trey Lance thing was a mistake too but I think they are trying to follow the wave of running QB success in the NFL. Chicago was just figuring it out with Fields and now he is hurt.

Yeah he does kick returns and punt returns, get about 10% of the snaps on offense. Easy for you sitting behind a screen mean while Turpin is on his 2nd season. People want to know why he is not used more? lol you guys a joke
He has touched the ball 4 times on offense and I guarantee he is not blocking anybody on the other 40!

A season of football is more than just game day, it is the work these guys put in during the week and Turpin has already played 11 games this season before he joined us where he was getting ample snaps. The guys has played in 21 games this year already. I think Cowboys will try to do more with him, chances are next season even more so, he signed a 3 year deal.

Serious Question. I don't know much about Turpin except what I have seen with the Cowboys. He is fast. He is shifty. Great PR and KR no doubt. But can he catch? Running full speed tracking a ball looking back over your shoulder all while fending off a DB is a lot different that catching a punt. Does he have the catching ability along wiht his speed to be a T. hill type player?

Not one bit concerned with fatigue involving Turpin, actually I want more touches for him offensively to add more speed n quickness to the offensive attack.

Based on total snaps (ST + offense)...

On average CeeDee plays as many snaps in 2.3 games as Turpin has in 10 games.

Turpin has played 136 total snaps.

CeeDee in his 2 highest snap games played 142..

Turpin only returned a punt/kick 30 times of 91 total (i.e. The others were fair catches or touchbacks).

Summary: At the current pace, Turpin will have played the equivalent of about 5 NFL games if the Cowboys make it to the Super Bowl.

With 11 in the USFL plus the equivalent of 5 in the NFL he'll have played the equivalent of 16 total. Less if you're only including the calendar year 2022.

Oh stop. The dude barely plays.

Yeah, this ain't like Deion having to helicopter his way between MLB and NFL games. If he was handling an Emmitt Smith 92-95 type load it would be more interesting, but he makes a few kick returns per week. There's no Iron Man story here.

It’s only one of the toughest positions in the NFL. I don’t know what’s wrong with people

Lets see.... stand in end zone, extend arms out as ball sails over head 2-3 times a game. Call for fair catch on 2-4 punts a game. Catch and run 1.. MAYBE 2 punts per game.

Come in run 2-3 pass routes per game and jog off field. Im pretty sure I, at age 52 could do that tomorrow without a week of practice.

Im not slamming Turpin, I love him and I wish we would use him a little more. Anyone see Dortch form Cards. He aint much bigger than Turpin, but little guy is explosive.
Turpin should get more chances for sure. I just dont get it.

A difference of opinion here... why certainly there must be something "wrong" with people who disagree with you.
