When this pandemic is finally over (and hopefully I survive it), I want to tour the following guitar factories:

Taylor Guitar Factory
El Cajon, CA, USA

Seagull Guitar Factory
LaPatrie, Quebec, Canada

Takamine Guitar Factory
Sakashita, Japan

I've seen Youtube videos of these factories, and it blows my mind. There are people with extraordinary skill that make these guitars. If they didn't do their excellent work, guitar players wouldn't have nice instruments to play. I own a Takamine myself, so I'm especially interested in touring that factory in Japan.

I used to deliver lumber to Ovation Guitars and Hamer Guitars. Still deliver to Steinway Piano. Doesn't do much for me, personally.

Most professional songwriters in Nashville seem to favor Takamine and Guild. Notice I didn't say performers...they all get paid to play Taylors LOL.

Interesting. Taylors are nice, but some of the Takamine players I know complain about the electronics in Taylers, saying it's harder to get a good EQ mix.

It might be me, but I think it would be more fun to spend time with the songwriters in Nashville drinking bourbon... but, that's me
