Flozell Adams. Just curious to know how he's doing on penalties this year with the Steelers. I wonder if being in a structured organization with a disciplinary coaching staff has made him improve in that area or is he doing the same ole' crap?

He has been good... only one false start so far this season to the best of my knowledge.. from what the folks on local radio are saying in pittsburgh

Well now his good ear is facing the quarterback. ;)
I guess that's why the Steelers win Superbowls (recently) and the Cowboys,....well you know.

You'd think Jerry or one of his puppet's would've thought of that.

I found this off a Steelers blog after the Titans game. Of course we have our quick to judge Jerry Jones crowd opening their big mouths again...

Not even Charlie Batch’s fragile condition, or Flozell Adams’ predilection for silly pre-snap penalties could get in the way of a Steelers defense that went to town on Vince Young, Chris Johnson, and later Kerry Collins.

another one

Flozell Adams was his old self as he once again and was guilty of a false start. I thought Colon was bad at false starts, but I'm starting to have second thoughts.

Didn't he severely cut down on his false starts last year under our coaching staff?

Of all the freaking b/s.

If he cuts down on penalties now, at this stage of his career it has absolutely NOTHING to do with the coaching staff, and has entirely everything to do with how the officials call games for the team he now plays for.

Certain teams (Stealers, Patriots, Colts) get away with murder and normally see the other team penalized much more (and calls intrepreted much differently) than the teams they play against.

Exactly, they should have sacrificed playing good left tackle just to make sure he was playing with his good ear to the QB.

I thought all you wanted was a playoff win and you would stop this nonsense ..... at least thats what you said for years.

False starts are kinda obvious even with those teams.

I layed off Jerry all off season didn't I? That 0-2 start still pisses me off. Besides did I say anything that was untrue? Jerry has had his puppets as HC's has he not?

To me a "good" left tackle doesn't kill more than one drive every game because of stupid penalties. Maybe a mediocre at best one does. Flo is no Erik Williams or Mark Tuinei.

Was posting to show you how wrong you are. Simple...

I continued reading. Adams couldn't even play a complete game vs. Tennesse because he is so out of shape and had trouble with fatigue. Guess your right though...

typical Monday morning quarterback.

He did not kill more than one drive every game. Look it up. Just because he had a penalty, doesn't mean that drive was killed.

Flo was a good left tackle. Maybe he wasn't a Tuinei or Williams, but that doesn't mean he wasn't good. Williams mostly played right tackle, so that is a tough comparison.

No, in fact Flo is getting so old and slow that he is not fast enough to make false starts any more. ;)

The conspiracy theories have been very prominant in the threads this week.

I know, I know .............the Steelers, Pats and Colts haven't won Super Bowls in recent years because they are good, it's because the refs cheat for them.
