Maher's XP miss was the reason we didn't try for the FG on that drive where 2nd INT happened. Had Maher made that XP, I doubt MM would have gone for it on 4th down at their 35 at that point in the game. We would have just kicked the FG and went into the half time leading 9-3.

So Dallas successfully made the 4th & 4 on the SF 35-yard line with 2 minutes to go and you are blaming Dak's INT 2 plays later on a 2nd & 2 on the SF 18-yard line on Maher????? Wow, you guys get crazier each and every day.

If Dak doesn't throw a piss poor pass resulting in an INT MM would have gone for a FG if Dak couldn't convert the 1st down because it would have been a 35-yard attempt instead of a 52-yard attempt......and do you really think MM tries a 52-yard FG with 2 minutes remaining wherein if Maher missed (given it's a low probability attempt) SF gets the ball at their own 42-yard line and would only need to travel 28 yards for a late 1st half FG attempt.

That whole drive would be different if they knew the FG was in play. They would make sure to run plays to burn the clock. It's called situational football. You might want to learn about it.
