Icy Pittsburgh street = predictable results

Good to see it is not just those of us who live in the south who can't drive on ice. :lmao:

I driven in snow before no big deal, ice on the other hand makes for a very tough situation

Crapsburgh fans deserve it!

btw, that was Crapfilledburger in the suburban! :laugh2:

Guess they have never heard that salt melts black ice.

You'd think someone would be on top of that hill warning people to steer clear. I guess it was much more fun to videotape the mayhem.

First thing I would have done after the crash was get the hell out of the street! :laugh2:

Those cars were flying down that hill.

Man that local body shop is going to make a killing if the insurance companies don't waffle. Looked like not one car on the street was spared.

The cops or city workers should have put some of those orange barrels out blocking that street from being accessed.

All this probably went down before the city had a chance to act.

Agreed. A street can go from wet and manageable to a total icy nightmare in a matter of a few short minutes. I've seen this scenario play out on Dallas streets before.

I was actually right in the middle of a situation like this and managed to escape unscathed. I was the only car out of about ten that didn't have body damage. :laugh2:

It's funny that recently Pittsburgh was rated in the top 5 best places to live. You wouldn't know it attending a sporting event.

Well, El Paso was rated the safest city in the US, but right across the border they average 8 murders a week. Must be the same folks that think Pittsburgh is a great place to live???

I lived in Pgh for many years. I finally moved out of that craphole of a city 2-1/2 years ago. Someone told me that Pgh ranks as the 7th highest city for taxes in the nation. And you get squat for all the money you pay. I lived on the top of a hill and they hardly ever cleared the street.

Pgh drivers are pretty good usually. You have to be because they don't do much to clear the roads.

If it weren't for family in Pgh, I would never go back there even though I was born there.

Hey, if I wouldn't have been born in Pgh, I wouldnt have been a Pitt Panther and Tony Dorsett fan. And If I wouldn't have been a Tony Dorsett fan, I would have probably never became a Cowboy fan.

Arrgghh...was going to show someone the video but it has been pulled.

Plano, TX was rated the safest city in the US for 2010.

Edit: My bad, two different sources.
