dude has a chance to be a beast. Just watching that one play tonight makes me think he was worth rolling the dice on.

He's going to make some plays in the passing game for us this year and he seems to be getting better and better at the blocking part of his job.

a good post for a change

and yes, Bennett is beastly, he can move pretty well for a 6'6" 248lb dude

all my posts are good. Just because I don't think Felix is the second coming of Sayers......:D

My hope with Bennett is that as he continues doing things right, it will have a snowball effect for him and encourage more positive behavior (in terms of attitude and attentiveness). We saw the reverse early on in Hard Knocks, but I think the worm could be turning.

Goes to show why you don't cut rookie draft picks a week into training camp, nor induct them into the Ring of Honor three weeks into the preseason.

I gotta admit, the kid kept plowing forward then tripping forward and it showed great effort. (But, um, Garrett's bro, he still needs to tuck that ball in.)

Good effort, though, Martellus.:)

I'm cautiously optimistic about Bennett :) Good YAC for him tonight. He needs to show more respect towards Garrett.

Same crap was said when we drafted Fasano and nothing ever came of that. Though I'd like to think that Bennett is a much better player than Fasano and that things have changed.

Indeed they are... I often print them out, and use them for toilet paper...

Oh Lawd, I probably just offended GimmeTheBall again... I've GOT to remember, I should never, EVER say anything in here I wouldn't say in church... :D

Egads man, change your sig.

I love the preseason. If he drops a ball, he stinks and is a bust. He makes one catch and breaks a tackle and now his potential is unlimited. Gotta luv it.

Bennett's head isn't as crooked as Hard Knocks viewers have been led to believe.

I don't think there is any doubt the guy sort of lives in his own world. You have to wonder just what hard knocks is showing. Are they trying to manufacture a feel good story?

I don't like his defiance, some might call it spirit, but to me it's just defiance. I'd tell him one time then fine him. I'm a coach on a professional football team you're a rookie just do it or pay extra to wear your shirt out.

I just wish we saw more so we knew what was happening most of the time.

I was very impressed with Bennett last night.

Real nice effort on his part and on a couple of those plays you could really see what the Cowboys saw in him to snatch him up in the 2nd rd.

He's built like a BB player. He may be listed at 6-6 252, but he has looong arms appears to have the reach of a guy closer to 6-8.

Either way he looks very athletic. Quick and fast for a guy that size. And of course a huge catching radius.

IF he works hard he could be a very good player and really help us.

I agree and if he continues to make plays when he's on the field, all of this preseason HK nonsense will fade away.

Pretty simple. We love the players who make plays. Attitudes be damned.

I hear you. It like I wish Garrett would just give him a " **** and do everything I tell you or you're outta here!

It's a fricken joke! 99% of the rookies shut up and follow instructions.

Coach is right, your wrong! ****! And tuck in the fricken shirt!:bang2:
