If the Cowboys beat the Lions next week. Nobody can convince me that we still aren’t the 2nd best team in the NFC. We went toe to toe with Miami who I think is the 2nd best team in the AFC. Got some bad calls and could have easily won that game. On a neutral field we beat them. Also the division is far from over. If the Eagles lose just once Dallas just has to beat DET and Wash to win the division.

I'm not impressed by Detroit. They've had a good season but man they haven't looked good in almost 2 months even in the games they win.
I never said I was either. But are we better than the Eagles? Yes. Are we better than SF? NO. Thus beating Detroit makes us 2nd best team in the conference.

If Cowboys beat Detroit.... It's probably because Detroit had nothing to gain by winning

If only Dallas had a playoff game or two at home, then I might agree……
I know one isn't holding his breath...it still could happen, even now.

There doesn't seem any functional pride in being penalty free. Then penalties are just maximized by every opponent with any team ability.

To hell with real excuses, beat who it is that lines up across from you. Do the old fashioned thing...earn it straight up. Or just don't home with another loss.

Dallas just needs like 3-7 more bigger and better athletes. Liek a few Chris canty Andre gurode type players

All roads end with going to SF and having to deal with them in SF. Super Bowl is out, NFC Championship 5% chance. (if we can get the #2 seed which is low percentage)

Current win/loss records vs. teams that currently have winning records:
SF 8-2
Philly 6-3
Det 2-2
Dallas 3-4

2nd best is not nearly good enough. Regardless of which team you’re convinced is 2nd best.

does not matter if the cowboys are the second best they can not win on the road.
