If Dak had a game like he did against the Niners last year, do we win?

Dak had something like 260 yards 2 TD's and a pick last year in the loss. I think most agree it was not a great game. Probably doesnt look as horrible now as this one did.

So if Dak plays a "decent" game with the stats he had last year, do we win this year?

YES.

Those 2 picks accounted for a 10 point swing in a game they lost by 7. Additionally he might have completed a few throws he flat out missed like the TY wide open play that should have been a touchdown.

I agree. I also dont think Dak had as bad a game as many said he did last year. In fact..................with Pollard getting only 4 carries last year against the Niners we can now see how nearly hopeless it was to win a game with Zeke and little to no Pollard.

As far as the 10 point swing, dont agree on that one.

I think he played about the same, really. He could of gotten away with the two picks Sunday if he saw/hit a couple of guys who were behind the secondary on different plays. Dak was under no more duress than Purdy throughout the game, albeit Purdy did have better options and scheme to play with.

Dak is not very poised under pressure and is not adept at manipulating the pocket. When he "feels" pressure, he often goes immediately to the first read without giving plays time to develop. It's rare to see him throw a guy open. His throws are at times off target and mistimed. He (and the Cowboys) needs to follow the blueprint of success. Let the run set up the passing game.

Get better up front and never abandon the run.

Never abandon the run? You mean keep giving it to Zeke and punting? Once Pollard went out this game was over.

Once Pollard went down, the strategy should have been to get Davis some carries and not some ridiculous read option crap out of the Boise State Playbook. Straight up running plays where he could get behind his pads and use his explosiveness. Zeke has a good tote here and there, but he wasn't scaring anyone Sunday.

Dak vs.SF last year's playoff loss: 23 of 43 for a 53.5% comp % with 254 yards and 1 td with 1 int

(of those stats on the last 2 drives of the game with Dallas behind 23-17 Dak went 4 of 8 for 66 yards; so prior to that in the 9 offensive series Dak went 19 of 35 for 188 yards and 1 td with 1 int)

Dak's lone INT gave SF 7 points and SF had an INT that gave Dallas 7 points....and SF won the game 23-17. So while there is no way to legitimately compare his game last season to this season, his play cost Dallas the game both last year and this year so NO, Dallas would not have won.

Dak had rushing yards and a rushing TD buddy. Nice try though.

You cant escape this blunder. One game you called a compete choke because it was Dak. The other you called some great game by a QB against the Niners because it was someone other than Dak. Stats are near identical.

Heck you even championed some QB getting 129 yards. LOL

Where did I say Geno Smith was great and where did I champion Mariota? Those are called examples of game performances against the same SF defense that Dak cost Dallas the game against......as for the rushing TD your original post failed to mention rushing yards so learn to be specific.

Continue defending Dak with your BS hypotheticals.

FACT: Dak lost last year and this year to SF.

You know, I mean you REALLY know, how bad Dak was the other night when one of his most ardent defenders is playing musical games trying to figure out if a performance from a year ago would have been good enough the other night, as if it matters in any way shape or form....

Where's the thread asking Would we have beat the Bucs in WC weekend if Dak played as horribly as he did in week 1?

THis is a diversion. Nothing more, nothing less. Reeks of desperation......

Yeah, it's getting embarrassing quick with this guy. *** is this thread about to achieve anyway? Dak sucked once again in a clutch game. 12-5 seasons mean nothing whatsoever.

Now while he's definitely not the only reason, he's one big part of the losing story of this team. And no what if game changes that. I'd prefer a 8-9 season in a rebuilding phase over another meaningless 12-5 season wasting our time. Any QB could have gotten us 8 wins and made the playoffs with alot more money to invest into other parts of the team.

Dak sucked against the Niners last year and sucked again this year. I’ve never seen anyone try and make so many excuses for him. Dak himself said the loss was on him get over it and move on.
