Does he run a 3-4, does he know how? If the answer is no do we keep Zimmer who knows (barley). I am assuming we are going to stick with the 3-4 would'nt everybody else? I am not sure who his asst. coaches are except for Norm Chow and wonder if he would be part of the package.

I know this is jummping the gun by a kabunches but I am beaten by that loss and would like to talk about something a little brighter. Also if this were to happen what year do you think? I say 2008

i would take the Ravens Def. Cord.

If Cowher retires at the end of the year I bet Dick LaBeaux (sp) will be available. Jerry can throw his millions at him for our next DC.

The 3-4 scheme we run is a joke, and it should leave with Parcells and Zimmer. I don't remember the Giants version of the 3-4 back in the late 1980's being this passive. In fact, they used to put the heat on QBs constantly.

I would love to have Lebaux (sp) But I thought Baltimore got away from the 3-4,

Jeff Fisher a.k.a. known as Coach Nascar, can take his flame retardant suit elsewhere.

Bone
out.

Dick LeBeau is the kind of coach you throw the big bucks at...

If Cowler doesn't resign with the Steelers and is interested in returning to another NFL team as H/C, I'd want JJ to throw the big bucks at Cowler. He always field teams who are talented, aggressive and mentally tough. You got to wonder how many SBs they would have won if his owners willing to spend money to retain their own quality FAs rather then be tight-fisted and let them go. Besides Cowler plays a very aggressive 3-4 defense which fits in with what we got. Rather have Cowler over Fisher and I don't care that Cowler was Steeler; I just want the Cowboys to win. Steelers also draft very well to fill the missing gaps their leaving FAs create.

Jeff fisher is from the buddy ryan defensive tree. He is not a 3-4 guy. He made his bones as an assistant with the 46 bear defense that no one uses anymore.

he is an agreesive defensive coach.

I think it is too early to be talking about the next coach.

Also, in regards to the giants playing a different 3-4 that is not true. They just had better players. LT, Banks and pepper johnson were tremendous players and they could all disrupt a game, throw in leonard marshall and they were outstanding up front. But they played the same scheme.

That giants secondary in bad years got beat alot too. I remember vividly the wild card game at giants stadium in 89 when the rams needed on play in overtime, Jim everett to flipper anderson who then went down the tunnel after the catch and the giants season was over.
