Then Plax will have a monster day on us. Glenn is just too small. Everytime I look over and see Glenn on someone 6+ I hold my breath, he just cant get it done.

except for the 1 TD, I didn't see Rod Smith go bananas on the Cowboys defense and the Broncos offense IMO is more potent than the Gnats. A lot will depend on the pass rush against the Giants... don't fully count that out.

I think Bill and Zimmer will forget about the left and right side stuff and put Newman on Plax all day if Henry isnt able to play.

Newman on Amani Toomer and Glenn on Plax would be insane

How can you say that when he had a great game against Roy Williams just two games ago? Williams had that one big play down the middle and that wasn't even Glenn's cover. Aaron Glenn is still a very good player and that TD for Rod Smith last week had nothing to do with size.

One name to remember - Darrell Green.

Remember how many times he held bigger receivers in check, including one Michael Irvin.

Just because he's short doesn't mean he can't get good position. The best thing he does which helps him with his size disadvantage is his ability to be aggressive at going after the ball. The Refs will never flag him as long as they see him trying to compete for the ball.

Now with all this said I still hope Anthony Henry can play. He is bigger and better in most areas, but I am not that worried if Aaron Glenn has to play.

I agree. I bet he puts 500 yards against us. Good post.

I don't know why we show up for these games. It is so clear that the other team is going devour us.

Sorry for being a step behind,, but last update I heard had Henry back for this game in the meadowlands.... has there been a setback?

Especially with Henry out, I don't understand why we don't have Newman follow their #1 around......

My main concern with Glenn in the game instead of Henry has nothing to do with pass defense - it has to do with forcing the corner on the run. Glenn is a quality corner who still probably has the best cover skills of any DB on the roster - better hips, feet and ball awarness. His gambler mentality gets him in trouble sometimes, but overall, I have no problem with Glenn defending the pass.

Glen's play vs. the run, however, is nowhere near as strong as Henry's - for obvious reasons. Glenn can still heard the run inside, but Henry can actually attack the the corner and force earlier decisions by the RB.

I think Henry will be the most important man on the field on defense. He was brought here as a physical corner with size to play the like of Owens, Burress, etc. in this division. If he's not out there Sunday it's going to be a big problem for us. I mean, in the Seattle game Manning would constantly look to Plaxico on third down and he was so wide open. The Seahawks couldn't cover it. If we play pass defense like that it will be a long day. Henry has to play and be effective Sunday. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Run defense will be a major gut-check for the Dallas defense.

I think they'll probably change it up, especially if Glenn gets burned. It is a definite size mismatch though. Detroit Roy Williams is an underachiever on a team in shambles.
