If I was an NFL GM I would be calling the Star all day

It’s like seeing blood in shark infested waters. Our 82 year old naked emperor is making his draft resources easily available for players who won’t make a difference. It’s fleece time at the Star!

Adding an underachieving WR to a 3-5 team with a coaching staff hanging on by a thread and a locker room that screams “quit” more and more each week…it’s like adding a new passenger to the Titanic a couple of days before it hits the iceberg. This ship is going down and somehow the captain who has hit the same iceberg 28 years in a row thinks he’s going to miss it this time.

If I’m an NFL GM, I would be on the phone right now with Jerry, dangling backup RBs and receivers that have no future with my team but can be dumped while picking up a mid round draft pick that will be in the top ten of each round.

Somewhere the ghost of Al Davis is chuckling. Because he knows his reputation of being crazy at the end of his reign is about to be topped by the oldest GM in NFL history.

Wait….I think I hear a bunch of phones ringing, o_O

Kudos on the Panthers for reading the writing on the wall and taking the hit on a whiff 2nd round pick to just turn it into something. Luckily for them they found Jerry and got a likely high 4th rounder.

These are exactly the kind of moves the Cowboys should be making, but sadly there is only one Jerry who would buy such a thing.

I’m thinking any attempts to dump our 2nd round TE bust Schoonmaker for a 4th rounder are being rebuffed.

If there are even attempts. There should be, Schoon isn't the guy that will make a difference even if he turns around but the Cowboys FO seems to love to hold on for dear life rather than admit the pick didn't work.

LOL!!!! I like reading your posts..............you must be a 50+ year fan like I am....and reserve the right to criticize this franchise because being a fan that long and seeing the peaks and valleys of this franchise.....although we've been stuck in this valley far too long and doesnt look like we are getting out anytime soon.....

Most GMs who are 3-5 with a boatload of injuries to key players recognize it’s time to sell not buy. It’s pretty clear Jerry actually thinks this team still has a shot at doing something. One word: Delusional.
Second word: Narcissist

Delusional narcissist.

If I'm the GM of another team the last person I call is Jerry. He's fielded a bunch of quitters, and I wouldn't want any of them on my team. CeeDee maybe, but the rest? Hell no.

To quote Jim Reeves, Jerry is the dog with the tail wagging.

Yup... exactly this. It's like finding the Fantasy Football owner who has zero clue on value and taking advantage based on them liking a particular team or not understanding value and future projections. Once they are taken advantage of, it's a free for all to try and convince them on another trade. Sadly the one being taken advantage of, still has no idea or clue.

Then you'd be missing out. Just take a look at Washington's team and success. They definitely overpaid for some, but don't see their players quitting on anything. Environment makes a huge difference and why not take advantage of a billionaire who has no clue and is arrogant enough to think knows more than the league.
