With all the reports comin out about this kid there’s no doubt in my mind he falls out of the top 5...

But if he gets out of the top ten we gotta move up and get him!

I couldn’t care less about his off the field issues, this guy is a stud and is exactly what the defensive line needs!

Thoughts???

To get ahead of Chicago at 9, you'd need to trade with Atlanta.

The 8th pick is worth 406 points. The Cowboys entire draft capital for 2023 is 391 points.

So you'd be trading your entire draft and some of next year's capital for a guy, who although dominant on the field, has some serious maturity issues and had had one of the worst "draft seasons" I can remember.

After leaving the Combine, this kid should have shown up for his Pro Day ready to go. He didn't.

He falls below 15 and it becomes a different conversation.

You're using the other chart? But even with the JJ chart, it comes out the same. The 8th pick is 1400, and the Cowboys have a total of around 1220. We'd have to trade future first and second rounders. From our position at 26, it just doesn't make sense. Even without the issues.

Now if he drops past 15 (which he won't) I can see it being worth it in theory.

Love it … love it … get realistic with it.

Would take our 1st, 2nd and 3rd to move from 26 to 11.

Sorry, bro.

I’m all for trading up for the guy and would give up a future 1st but that’s where I think I draw the line (maybe a small sweetener like a 4th). That probably gets you to pick 12 at best but more likely 13 or 14.
