END QUARTER 2

if nick fairley drops to 9

Nick Fairley is not a good fit for the number 9 pick (for Dallas). He is quickness player, not a power player. He doesn't use his hands good. He relies on speed and sudden quickness. He is best used in a 43 defense, inside. Fairley would be a project at NT, a high motor position, which requires you to be a high motor player. You can't "take plays off" or play high like Fairley does on tape and be an undersized NT. Fairley as a 34 DE just isn't a good move. He would get pushed around, and his inconsistent motor wouldn't serve him well in a power position in the 34. Fairley's best value comes as a 3 technique DE.

I bet the 49ers wouldn't take him at 7, either.

If you drafted Fairley at 9, he would be relegated to 4 man line inside pass rush. I can go draft Alan Bailey or Drake Nevis and get better bang for my buck.

You don't really know how Rob Ryan would use him or how good Fairley would fit in Ryan's defense.

Respectfully, of course.

Got about halfway thru but couldn't handle that horrible music any longer.

Lot of good plays, a lot that would be negated by penalty in the NFL however.

Dude, that song is a classic, considered one of the greatest rap songs of all time. Don't be hatin on Biggie

Outstanding analysis.... Bold conclusion. Well done... sincerely, well done.
