We need more than one good receiver if we are going to compete. I understand if we had to cut Keyshawn but honestly we needed both Key and Owens. Do you guys seriously think we will be okay with just Owens and say Glenn as our starting wideouts?

I'm looking for good things this year from Patrick Crayton.

I'm on board with you. I think the whole thing is nuts. Even if TO comes to Dallas, a WR core of TO, Glenn & Crayton with no other legit WRs is a joke. Glenn was the only one of the 3 who wasn't hurt last year and there no money on he could stay healthy second year in a row. I think Jones & Parcells have lost their marbles.

Well at least this controversy got us off the topic of the Cowboys slow motion efforts in FA. We can go back to that subject tomorrow when again we deal with the fact we have no kicker, no RT, no FS, need a WR, OLB, etc., etc. Geez, as if this FA period could get any worse. Skin fans must be laughing their head off at our ineptitude while their add some pretty good players to their roster. Cowboys have become Disneyland West; a position the Cardinals used to hold.

That's no joke...what did the Skins have for cap space? $5 million? Yet they added quality players to their team. Meanwhile....here we are floundering about with a T.O. smokescreen. Hopefully, it is a smokescreen.

I appreciate what he did while he was here, what else can a person say? right..

It may still be Keyshawn. I've always liked him.

It could be Eric Moulds with some of the recent rumors.

It could be a rookie. You may not be as dependent on a rookie with TO here.

I would imagine that it gets filled though.

You guys crack me up.

Honestly, what do you have...like...5 million dollars in personal debt? Play today, pay tomorrow! TOo many teams go for broke structuring contracts that will CRIPPLE them in a few years in the HOPE that they will compete for a ring TODAY.

Get responsible. That's what Jerry and Bill are doing, and we will STILL compete.

Some people!

My guess? Owens or Moulds is brought in for '06 and Santonio Holmes is drafted and developed to eventually take Glenn's place in '07 so eventually we wind up with:
1) Moulds/Owens
2) Holmes
3) Crayton
4) Copper/Other

It won't happen. Its too easy to connect the dots but god would I have loved it if we had kept Key drafted Chad Jackson and forgot about this entire mess.

Yes. Owens, Glenn and Crayton is a formidable trio. Heck, in the past Owens has been paired with garbage second receivers and still put up huge numbers and carried his team.

If Owens is not signed, there is real trouble. There is no one available at WR in free agency to help, and a rookie won't be able to step in and be anything more than a #3 receiver.

uhhh ever heard of the nfl draft?stop cryin already.

Considering we are likely not going to use our first round and second round pick on a receiver, it's highly unlikely we are going to be able to find a receiver who can come in and match Keyshawn's production next season.

We have all seen that having only one quality receiver is a liability even going back to the "Michael Irvin and Who?" days in the late 90's. I don't want a repeat of that.

Crayton is special but let's be honest, it's asking a lot for him to replace Keyshawn next season especially after coming off a major injury last season. Crayton is at the very least a year away from being a quality starter. I like Glenn. He is a savy veteran who knows how to play the game but he isn't getting any younger or healthier for that matter. We would be lucky if he lasted the entire season and showed no signs of slowing down toward the end of the next season.

But he wasn't paired with a garbage QB in Donovan McNabb. And their defense was better than ours so it kept them in games. Bledsoe is going to need all the help that he can get.

We just need someone. I don't really care if it's Keyshawn but we do need another quality starter in addition to Owens. Moulds would be fine.

I dont know guys I liked key. He was a good posetion reciever that could get us that first down or red zone TD.
