Crazy thought....

Looks like we may have to start the rookie at LT. Do we flip Martin next to him?

Not a fan of mixing up the line. It has been a disaster in the past. Talking one game to help the kid. Just a dumb thought. Go ahead and tell me how stupid it is. I will be easily convinced.

Can Peters help ?
Peters is on PS meaning , he wont be on the sideline game time , correct ?

If he is allowed to be there , he can probably give some pointers to Tyler depending on what TB DEs are doing .

No, they probably play Smith at left tackle for the 1st two games and then put Peters at tackle and move Smith to left guard.

If this is their plan, which I think it is, I would be tempted to not move Smith to tackle at all. I would play Ball or whatshisname, whoever is the #3 tackle at this point and let Smith just roll at Guard. there are a lot of things you can do to help a LT. But a bull rush up the middle will kill the QB and the throwing game. I like Smith in the middle over McGovern and Tyler B to handle the big DT that Tampa will throw at them. If I wasn't planning on Smith moving to LT for the year at this point, I wouldn't move him. Just let him work at being a dominate guard. Use scheme to assist the LT for a few games.

It's not the craziest idea I have ever heard.
But who's gonna play right guard if you move Martin to left guard?

Wow! When you think about it, we have one proven commodity starting on our offensive line week one. Neither Steele nor McGovern have started for a whole seasons. And Tyler is just a rookie. Badiasz hasn't taken the next step yet and some think he never will. That leaves Martin as our only real linemen of note.

Jerry dropped the ball on this one. Probably still need to bring in Fisher. I mean the additions of both Peters and Fisher would make me feel a whole lot better. Just saying.

Not a fan either, seems when ever we do that it ends up as a train wreck

With TB running a 3-4 defense do not be surprised to see them shading Vea between C Biadasz and LG McGovern as he is a handful and will really isolate rookie LT Smith.

I wonder if they can have Zack Martin drop back 3-5 yards after the snap to protect Dak in front of him? lol

There is a better than average chance that Biadasz ends up being the weak link on this line.

It’s such a shame that we took a rapping corner over Humphrey. This OL would look a LOT better and so far the rapper isn’t really helping things out much.
