Going into the game, I felt Dak definitely gave Dallas the best chance to win.
Didn't feel the running game would be able to do much, so passing was gonna have to get it done. Of course, running the ball was greatly hindered by Pollard going down before half, but still would have been tough sledding.

Now knowing how the game went (Pollard injury and all) - do we win if Rush would have started?

So your suggesting that we win with a Rush/Zeke lead offense against the #1 defense in the NFL?

I'll say this, it wouldn't have been a downgrade at all, Dak played like s...
Geno Smith played much better 1 week earlier against that D.
Geno blows away Rush and he has played them 2 other times. Geno also has a much better RB and two better receivers.

cant be any worse than 12 points. Funny how our two lowest scoring games have been with Dak, and not the backup we literally let go before this season.

Rush wouldn’t have hurt and there were enough downfield opportunities to take advantage of. The protection was good so I don’t think Dak’s mobility helped us much. Definitely could have won with Rush.

Did Rush ever play the Niners? We might have gotten shut out. Definitely could have been worse.

Rush averaged 19 points against much lessor competition. Dak averaged 31 and lead the NFL.

Niners D deserves all the credit.

I didn't suggest anything - I just wanted to get everyone's opinion on it.

I don't think running the ball was an option after Pollard went down - so it would be still pass heavy, but if Rush is able to protect the ball better, does it change to outcome of the game, especially given how our defense played.

Losing pollard really hurt. Rush would have been exposed like when he played Philly.

I think Dak is the better QB, and that's not saying much, but Rush might have made enough plays without the mistakes to actually put us over the top.
The difference in Rush and Dak was the fact that Rush hit that back foot and let it go. He trusted the system and played within the offense. Dak doesn’t trust it and that’s why it needs to be scrapped IMO

Id rather take a middle of the pack avg rather than 30 points one game and 3 points in another.
Even when rush had three turnovers vs the eagles he managed 17 points, and its not like their D isnt too far off of 49ers.
Speaking of that, didnt dak drop40 on the eagles? Whats so different between the Eagles D and the 49ers D? Its not like we had success running against the eagles. Daks inconsistency is a killer
