Wouldn't it be in their best interest to put Dallas into the Super Bowl? I don't believe it is at all. I'm just saying as for ratings. Cowboys/Chiefs would probably be record ratings for a Super Bowl.

No. The NFL has tried hard to level the playing field since the mid 90s. They want all teams to have fans. I’d argue that it is in their best interest to have different teams in the Super Bowl every year.

Good read in the link below. Lots of good information.
Is the NFL an Entertainment Business like the WWE?

1. Contrary to popular belief and to what the NFL wants you to think, there have been fixed games in league history. On page 308 of Dan Moldea's book "Interference" he lists over 70 NFL games that have been fixed and includes the names of the 2 referees involved in fixing those games. He also lists interviews with NFL HOF players most notably KC Chiefs QB Len Dawson. He, in detail with documented facts supported by FBI documents, has interviews with NFL players and known gambling associates to uncover massive game fixing in the league. He also notes, with evidence, throughout the book that no fewer than 26 NFL team owners have or have had continuous and developing relationships with the gambling world, most notably the Rooney, Bidwill, and Mara families all getting their starts as Bookmakers for established mid-west crime families and buying their NFL franchises with moneys earned from gambling. So that in and of itself is a hypocrisy number 1 on the NFL's "lilly white" reputation.

NFL Referees are part-time employees of the NFL. They are not employees of any team nor do they get paid anywhere close to the sums of NBA refs. NFL refs make between $25K to $70K per season. They work for the league and do what the league tells them to do. They are not there for "the integrity of the game". Referees, unlike other sports, are bound by NFL mandated gag orders which prevent them from talking to the media.

2. The NFL possesses an Anti-Trust Exemption to the law granted to it by President John F. Kennedy, which ultimately allows the NFL to classify itself as "entertainment" rather than sport, as well as incorporate itself as a single entity instead of the 32 separate "franchises" they would want you to believe. Contrary to the perception of the NFL being 32 separate franchises battling it out for gridiron supremacy. In a franchised environment, such as McDonalds (Business 101), each franchise is individually owned and operated and can participate in national promotions, have its own local promotions, or abstain from participating (hence the fine print in commercials saying "at participating locations".

Former NFL player and Super Bowl XXXVII winner Dwight Smith admitted in a sports radio interview that the winner of major NFL games is predetermined by the league and that both teams know literally every play that the other team will run. As he puts it, “the games aren’t decided on the field.” He also states that the NFL picks teams for the Super Bowls for the storylines they will generate.

Former NFL player Benny Cunningham admits the NFL is scripted but cannot go into full detail because of an NDA he signed with the league.

We have the last 28 years to prove it is fixed to be … not … in the Cowboys favor.:lmao:

I won't even entertain this argument it's so silly.
How many owners have links to gambling? Read the link I provided right above your post. Coincidence? I think not. The owners and league make boatloads of money off gambling.

What a coincidence that Jerome Bettis gets his SB ring in Detroit in his swan song final year, all made possible by crooked officials.

I only highlighted this section because it's the only part I have issues with. The rest I either believe or already knew about. I'm also aware of what happened just before Super Bowl XXXVII. Something was definitely amiss there.

It's not scripted. That would be impossible.

However, it is manipulated, and that is blatantly obvious.

The one thing I have noticed on a lot of message boards are threads like these. They used to pop up every once in a while, but now you can find them in a lot of places. Is the game scripted, do refs fix games, threads like that.

The reason is the refs are so inconsistent. When inconsistency becomes the norm, you can steer games. Like roughing the passer for example. It can be called on any sack or contact with the QB. Or not called.

And suddenly most games are a lot closer and there are a ton of comebacks by teams that are way down. Hmmmmmmmm.....

If it was scripted, how much does the league hate Zach Wilson? No Zach!! Stick to the script. You're going to suck just like it's written, all game.

Watch the movie gladiator. There are 32 coliseums around the U.S. to quell the masses. I have thought for awhile that the cowboys will win the superbowl when there is derision in the nfl or in the U.S as a whole. They will throw some bread to the peasants

If you don’t believe this nonsense then why did you post this nonsense? Accountability.

How long is that going to take?

BTW, I watched the movie. Love those types of movies. Even the bad ones. But that movie was so bad I could barely make it through. I know that's not a popular opinion. But I'd rather flush a hundred dollar bill down the toilet than to sit through that garbage again. But people loved it.

I don't think it's scripted to where they know every play, but I dont think it's all up to chance like they want us to believe. What are the odds that in the history of the league that no team has played the Superbowl in their home stadium, and then back to back years it happens. In 2020 pandemic where there were strict travel restrictions and then 2021 where still people didn't feel that safe to travel.

Can't be scripted. That would involve the players, and it would get out, leading to huge revenue losses. It is manipulated, however.

You underestimate the hate for the Cowboys among the NFL owners and the Commish himself. When the upstart Jerrah came into the league and within 4 years they're beating all the old guard owner's teams like a rented mule, well, let's just say all them drunk billionaires can be spiteful.

And they all make money even if their team sucks so what is a bigger piece of pie when they still have to split it 32 ways. Saying "Screw you" to the Cowboys is much more satisfying that a few million more dollars than they're already gonna make with each year, each SB.

I doubt you (OP) are uber-rich so it is impossible for you to imagine the other owners mindsets. It's a known fact that Jerrah has plenty of enemies among the owners. And we haven't really discussed Jerrah trying to get Goodell canned. So Jerry is partially responsible for the anti-Cowboy sentiment through his brashness and outlandish behaviors. Jealousy of the Cowboy's popularity ($$$$$) explains it more.

The major sports press (East Coast) and their disdain for the Cowboys is a whole nother story.

It would have been easier years ago to script games, today with how info gets out, social media, etc. it would take a lot to specifically spin the outcome. So I don't believe todays game is scripted.

However, with that said it doesn't mean certain biases don't exist among the ref. population, timing of calls, what gets let go, etc. that may alter outcomes. I doubt there is a huge mastermind conspiracy behind it other than a ref. giving the benefit of the doubt to the player or beong flag happy.
