Dane Bruglar dropped a name that could be a good fit in Quinn's Defense. He fits that old Seattle prototype for the position, possessing great size and length. As we know Seattle started Sherman, Browner at the position, both were over 6'3 with great length.

He's tall and extremely athletic, just like his brother was, and unfortunately some teams are going to hold that against him.
Where do you see him being drafted? Inside the top 100? His brother certainly won't help his draft stock.

Coaches all think they can fix guys.

There's a lot of Rod Marinelli's in the NFL who believe that once they "get their hands" on a kid, they can mold him into a superstar.

I can see a team, maybe even us, falling in love with his tools.

Obi wouldn't tackle anyone, less of an issue at Cornerback.

Heard he is a watcher when it comes to tackling

Ife is a much more fluid athlete than Obi, and has better instincts (though he gets caught peaking sometimes).

He's a better corner prospect at 44 than any of the guys at 10, especially if Quinn is going to run a scheme similar to what he did in Seattle. Melifonwu is excellent at that off coverage that Sherman always played.

I fully understand Quinn isn't Pete Carroll and is more of a DL coach at heart, but he comes from that Seattle defense. Players like Melifonwu and Mukuamu from South Carolina fit their prototype for the position. People tend to forget that Seattle used to start two oversized corners in Sherman/Browner. Both players can be drafted much later, perhaps even day 3.

Melifonwu has a better chance to go in the first than the 4th, doubt he makes it out of the second.

I didn't forget that, it's why I've specifically mentioned him before, if they go the Seattle Cover-3 route.

Exactly. Once we got Quinn it shouldve killed the Surtain talk honestly. Im not drafting a guy round 1 to play zone predominantly

Draft Network has him ranked 153, which is one of the better big boards out there.

They probably change like everybody else after the combine. And I just looked at their 2020 board. The actual results were pretty off like all other places besides the top 10 or so

TDN isn't good it just looks cool.

Brugler has him at 60.
Borowsky (Inside the Gridiron) and Seritella (Draft Bible) said fringe first.

Brugler was way off on a bunch of players too. I dont know why people take these dudes so seriously. After the top 10 or so they are all over the place

I don't. Brugler's as good as Kiper who is as good as McShay who is as good as Walter etc. etc. etc.

I only mentioned it because TDN isn't gospel.

So he's more like a late 2, early 3rd rd prospect. It is possible, he could be there at 75 where we pick in the 3rd rd.

Where does the South Carolina CB sit on those boards?

Don't know. They're not all complete boards, more player grades. Melifonwu is a way better athlete though. Mukuamu looks more like a safety to me.

I feel like you are missing the point again lol. He might be there at 90, he might be gone at 30. But you can't bet on him being there late.
