This in my first post since sometime last year.

This is my preferred roster. They will probably keep Gachkar where I have a 6th CB and they will likely keep Wilcox where I have Frazier. If Nzeocha injury is serious, then Gachkar definitely stays. If McFadden, Dunbar and Hanna stay on PUP, then the decisions are fairly easy. I thought about going without a FB. If Hanna was active that would be easier. If Keith Smith is the FB, he could also be an extra LB allowing them to keep 1 less than they might otherwise.

OLine 8
Smith, Tyron
Collins, La'el
Frederick, Travis
Martin, Zack
Free, Doug
Leary, Ronald
Green, Chaz
Looney, Joe

QB 3
Romo, Tony
Prescott, Dak
Showers, Jameill
PUP or Cut Moore, Kellen

RB (FB) 4
Elliott, Ezekiel
Morris, Alfred
Jackson, Darius
FB Smith, Keith or Rod
PUP McFadden
PUP Dunbar

TE 4
Witten, Jason
Escobar, Gavin
Swaim, Geoff
Gathers, Rico
PUP Hanna
Note: I really like Traylor’s blocking, but he should be easy to keep on the PS.

WR 5
Bryant, Dez
Williams, Terrance
Beasley, Cole
Butler, Brice
Whitehead, Lucky
PUP Brown, Chris

CB 6
Scandrick, Orlando
Claiborne, Morris
Carr, Brandon
Brown, Anthony
Olatoye, Deji
McKinnon, Jeremiah

Safety 4
Jones, Byron
Church, Barry
Heath, Jeff
Frazier, Kavon
Cut Wilcox, J.J.

DL 10
Mayowa, Benson
Thornton, Cedric
Crawford, Tyrone
Irving, David
Tapper, Charles
McClain, Terrell
Jenkins, Shaneil
Crawford, Jack
Collins, Maliek
Russell, Ryan
Suspended Lawrence, Demarcus
Suspended Gregory, Randy
Note: I really like Shaneil Jenkins at the 3-tech DT spot.

LB 6
Lee, Sean
Hitchens, Anthony
Wilber, Kyle
Wilson, Damien
Nzeocha, Mark
Durant, Justin
PUP Smith, Jaylon
Suspended McClain, Rolando
Cut Gachkar, Andrew

Special Teams 3
Bailey, Dan
Jones, Chris
LaDouceur, L.P.

Practice Squad (I don’t know if all are eligible)
Smith, Rod or Keith
McAdoo, Mike
Okoye, Lawrence
Coe, Rodney
King, Deon
Traylor, Austin
Jones, Andy
Mayle, Vince
OL

Welcome back X. Good 53, I think Our offense and defense will benefit from subtracting Wilcox and Street. They've had plenty of time to make a case for staying.

Welcome back...I was wondering where you went...

I think they try to sneak Showers to the practice squad.

I think Showers could be a PS guy. Really hasn't shown enough for someone to even consider him.

Great list, I totally agree with your picks for the secondary. I'm not sure they keep Gathers, I think one of the RBs would stay over him. Great to see you back.

QBs Romo, Dak; Showers to PS and Moore to PUP or more likely IR
RBs Zeke, Morris; Jackson to PS; Dunbar to 53 or PUP depending health; Mac cut last cuts unless injury to top three; Smith is the FB
WRs Dez, Williams, Butler, Beasley definite 53; 1-2 others make it too early to tell; Jones in the mix as is Street. One newbie here.
TEs Witten, Escobar, Swaim, Hanna unless PUP/IR; too early to tell about the other two. Rico likely PS
S Jones, Heath, Church, Frazier or vet TBD; Wilcox cut or traded
CBs Claiborne, Scandrick, Carr, Brown, McKinnon; injury will determine number and players though
LBs Injury dictates with Lee, Durant, Hitchens, and Wilbur top 4 to date which may change; again injuries dictate; this is a mess
DL Injury, suspensions and surprises here although Lawrence, Thornton, T Crawford, Irving top players; Tapper, Jenkins, McClain should rotate along with Collins, Russell, the other Crawford and Mayowa; room for a few surprises and again injury will dictate who gets snaps.

Agree with the list 100% as well as King on the PS. He is a tackling machine. Good post.

Yes, Showers might go to the PS but I really didn't need that spot with Dunbar. McFadden and Hanna on PUP. If Dunbar has been activated, then he would bump somebody on my roster. I see Dunbar as 1/2 WR and 1/2 RB so he could be considered the 6th WR in terms of the roster.

Thanks.

Wilcox regressed. He was "good enough" in 2014 but regressed in 2015 and even more now. I thought his 2015 problems were related to the plantar fasciitis injury but apparently not based on this preseason. I think he is one of those guys that got some money and quit working hard. He looks like a player that never watches film.

The reason they like Street is because he has high character and work ethic. I've heard they actually encouraged him to hang around with Brice Butler to keep Butler on track in terms of off field activities. Having said that, I don't see any way Street makes the team..

I actually like Traylor, but he should be easy to keep on the PS. It appears that Dunbar is going to be or already has been activated from the PUP which would require bumping somebody from my list.

Gathers is intriguing. His build and athletic ability remind me of MartyB. Physically, MartyB is one of the most impressive guys I've seen at TE. I remember going to training camp during MartyB"s 2nd season and thinking he had All-Pro type of ability.

Thanks.

If Jenkins does not make the 53, something is wrong.

Rico would likely be inactive all season, but his physical ability is very intriguing.

Agree on Wilcox. It's weird to see a raw rookie with a lot of natural talent get worse every year. It's like the coaches taught him nothing.
