Returning free agents:
-DeMarcus Lawrence- Franchise Tag
-David Irving- 2nd round tender
-Jonathan Cooper- 3 year deal
-Anthony Hitchens- 3 year deal
-L.P. Ladouceur- lock him up till he decides to hang em up
-Byron Bell- 1 year deal

Free Agents:
SS Eric Reid
TE Cameron Brate

Trying to keep it somewhat realistic. Its why im not putting names like Dontari Poe, Morgan Burnett, Sammy Watkins as my genius free agent plan. Eric Reid and Cameron Brate is what im hoping we can get. Many will feel Reid is out of price range but it seems like Reid is not likely to return to San Fran and his market may be shot due to him continuing Kaps national anthem kneeling. a long shot but he is not an impossible get. Brate may be a ERFA but i dont see Tampa giving him a serious offer. They have OJ Howard and he took the majority of snaps this past season. Brate may not be an All pro but he is a great blocker and solid receiving threat. Witten is most likely going into his last year and Brate would be a good option as a replacement. Hes only 26.

S Bradley McDougald
DT Sealver Siliga

This is most likey the way we go. McDougald is a starting caliber safety. Has started at both Strong and free safety on the Bucs and Seahawks the past few seasons. Siliga is a big blocking eating nose tackle. He has bounced around the league a good bit playing for 4 or 5 teams so far. He offers little to no pass rush but he will hold his ground and occupy blockers long enough for our linebackers to make a play. Hes a decent run stopper as well. Not a game changer by any means but he will come cheap and get the job done.

1st-DE Harold Landry, Boston College- Stephen Jones said we are focusing on front 7 early so here is my pick. Harold Landry was one of my favorite players in last years draft and im excited that we may have a chance to get him. Not much needs to be said about him. Most of us already know what he can do. If not Harold Landry then Clelin Ferrell out of Clemson. Chose Landry because i can see Ferrell rising due to his size and length.

2nd-WR Simmie Cobbs jr, Indiana- Dak keeps overthrowing his receivers then give him one he simply cant over throw. Cobbs is 6'4" 220 pounds. Solid route running, good hands, Solid blocking receiver, hard to bring down, rare he doesnt come down with the 50-50 ball. Not a burner but hes not slow either. Could be the next Brandon Marshall or who he is compared to the most Alshon Jefferies.

3rd- ILB Josey Jewell, Iowa- Talked about him in the linebacker thread. Smart and Instinctive linebacker who is a tackling machine. Not a freak athlete like Ro Smith but if he was then he would be drafted ahead of Ro Smith. Think of a bigger, longer, faster Chris Borland.

4th- QB Kurt Benkert, Virginia- Reminds me of Dak in the terms of he played behind a horrid oline and had no real offensive weapons. Despite running for his life on every throwing play he completed 59% of his throws. What caught my eye tho is he has good deep throw accuracy. He could rise and go on day 2

4th C- DT Kendrick Norton, Miami- A big run stuffing 1 tech. Hes not a great pass rusher but he will collapse the pocket and get to the QB from time to time. What i really like about him is he has a mean streak. Gonna continue throwing players around till he hears the whistle and probably still after the whistle. We need a mean son of a gun on the front lines who will get everyone going.

4th C-DB Kameron Kelly, San Diego State- At 6'2" 200 pounds, Kelly has played both corner and safety in his college career. We seem to like versatile DBs and Kelly really fits the mold. Can be a good press man corner on the outside or a rangy free safety.

5th C-OG Tony Adams, NC State- We need someone we can develop to backup all 3 of the interior o line positions and Adams is my pick. Hes a solid run blocker but what caught my eye is he was the 2nd best pass blocker in the ACC this past season. This was according to PFF tho so take that how you may. Possible future starter at LG if Cooper continues to get injured often.

5th C- TE Marcus Baugh, Ohio State- Blocking TE who may be a better receiver then his numbers will tell you.

6th-RB Ralph Webb, Vanderbilt- Webb is now 2nd in rushing yards in the SEC only behind the legendary Herschel Walker. He is undersized for the NFL at 5'9" 200 pounds but he is tough and a freak athlete all around. Good rotational back. Has the speed, hands, and blocking we wish Morris had.

7th-OLB Travin Howard, TCU- didn't know who to pick so i took another LB. Howard is a fast and athletic linebacker-safety hybrid player. could give Frazier some competition at box safety. Currently 6'0" 215 pounds. If he can bulk up to 225 then we may have another option at backup WILL.

Love the first three pick but I don't know if we would take Reid due to his actions on the anthem but I think he is a good player.

I like it but Landry doesn’t seem like the best fit imo. He has the body type of a S. Don’t know how realistic it is for him to play with his hand in the ground as a 4-3 DE on a regular basis. Do like the idea of DE in the 1st tho, I think theres a good chance someone with serious talent and potential will be available there

Yea, dunno if Jerry would sign off on that tbh.

Another QB that may be there in the 4th that I like is Luke Falk.

Like the Brate signing.

Overall, like the mock. Hits some key needs and you can never have too many defensive ends.

Im a Taco fan, but I would still be very excited for a DE in the first. There is room in your for 3 top end pass rushers

Im just a big fan of Landry. I originally had Clelin Ferrell but i really do see him rising and being the 3rd edge rusher taken. But even if Landry can't be a 3 down DE i would still use him like how Seattle used Bruce Irvin or how Atlanta uses Vic Beasley as a pass rush specialist.

Love Falk, showed enough promise to have it factor, yet is under the radar.

Yeah what you’re saying makes a lot of sense....Just not to the crusty old guy that currently runs the Cowboys defense.

He tried that with Wilber a few years ago but he just wasn't good enough.
