I haven't watched the NBA in so long I just don't care any more. But I know how many detractors he has after the decision show on ESPN and his Championship fades.

He seems like a good dude to me as someone not paying that much attention but maybe I am dead wrong.

All that said, if the Cavaliers take Derrick Williams from the University of Arizona and win an NBA Championship and Lebron never does, I will crack up laughing.

Especially if they give him #23 like he wears for the Cats.

I think he's as good a dude as an egotistical athlete can be. I doubt he's half the ****** Jordan was, but fans seem mad that he ISN'T the ****** Jordan was.

People seem to hate egoism more than they hate actually bad human qualities when it comes to athletes.

IMHO, Lebron has a maturity problem..........but so does the owner of the Cavs, so I don't want them to win a Championship either. :)

People forget how egotistical and what a jerk Michael Jordan was. Granted it didn't matter (and still doesn't matter in today's era, in my opinion) since I only care about what happens on the court. We also didn't have Twitter and Facebook and a 24 hour news cycle back then, so every time Michael Jordan cheated on his wife or every time he dissed someone, it wasn't broadcast around the nation and then heavily criticized by guys listening to sports talk radio shows.

At any rate, I think the hate/criticizm is overblown. I think the Miami Heat will be fine -- they just need to get a little bit better at PG and they also need a respected figure at head coach that's a tactician. I'm not certain Erik Spoelstra is the guy for the job.

I think Wade's a good guy that's been pulled down by the self-centered attitude of LeBron. I think LeBron was a nice guy, but the media has swallowed him up and he comes off as cocky and arrogant to me.

I think quite the opposite. LeBron's been fairly quiet since joining Miami and has even deferred to Wade being the man - Wade gets introduced last before games, and LeBron never goes to a media interview session without Wade if he can help it.

He looks up to Wade, from what I know about the situation.

I'm 75% sure the Cavs are going to take Kyrie and then one of the big men at 4. Sort of pisses me off that Kyrie would be going to Slate's "team" ..... ah hell, he's prolly a Heat fan now.

I hated "The Decision" and all the Miami offseason Big 3 hoopla as if the title was a foregone conclusion. Loved seeing Dallas knock them off.

LBJ has therefore become someone I rooted against this season. With their defeat though he seems to some degree to have eaten his humble pie. Moreso than Wade IMO. So I'll warm a bit more to LBJ even while continuing to root against the Heat.

I'm no longer a Wade fan. It seems that he (like Kobe) is intent on donning some sort of Jordan-esque pose or facial expression when the cameras are rolling in an effort to try to become that next icon. Show himself to not just be incredibly talented, but also warrior-like (a la Mike) or whatever. Jordan's expressions and antics seemed to me to be spontaneous and genuine. Wade and Kobe seem like fakes to me on that issue.

Both Wade and Kobe, along with LBJ are supremely talented and capable with the right support of multiple titles (Kobe obviously so). I wish they'd just be content with that.

I haven't really paid much attention to the college game. Is anyone being hyped up as potentially the next great stars in this draft?

One thing You must remember this guy Lequeen is a ring chaser . He is supposed to be the "Chosen 1" as he has tattooed on his back. In truth he isnt. He shrinks horribly in big games. Half of the glory is fighting through the rough patches to get there and Lequeen took the easy way. At least tried to.He is the epitomy of whats wrong with sports these days. However Mavs showed them and Lequeen that team is where its at. Dirk is the antiLebron. No endorsements. No agent. Hard work. Stayed with a team through it all. Consumate pro and humble as can be.

Wade is a phony and soft as can be. Never forget the wheelchair moment. He injures his shoulder and takes a wheelchair off the court, then has the balls to say he never complains about injuries . He always whines. He mocked the Uber Man and got what he deserved.

The draft is awful this year. I personally believe Stern rigged the draft for Cleveland. However I am happy for them because Cleveland deserves some good karma.

I used to have a Social Studies teacher who was a super smart guy and had some great stories about his travels thru the world when he was a teenager and then thru his college and early 20's years.

Anyway, one thing that he said that always stuck wtih me is that he'd take the B+ student over the A student. Reason being is that the A student never dealt with failure and because we as humans are not perfect, they will eventually have to deal with failure and they will probably struggle to do so.

I think that's the case of Lebron and basketball.

No, I don't think the guy is a 'good dude.' Everything I've ever heard about him, and I've had good friends interview him, is that he's rude and curt and aloof...and he knows it and knows that he can get away with it. Why? Because he's the A student in basketball.

Pure evil? Of course not. Pompous prima donna who is an ingrate? Absolutely.

And now he's dealing with failure of his own and he's not reacting to it very well.

From the articles I've read, he doesn't seem like a very good guy. He also hasn't handled not being liked very well.

Heh, MJ was the best ever on the court. And that's all I care about. Calling him the jerk that he is doesn't change that his talent was wonderful to watch.

I'm talking about the hypocritical nature of sports criticism.

Truth. LeBron is a duche, no doubt. But the way the Cavs owner is acting i have no sympathy for that franchise anymore either.

LMAO @ people saying LeBron is a good guy though. Pay attention.

The whole thing is overblown and unimportant. Whether he's a good guy or not doesn't really matter. F the media and their egos and need to be catered too. It's one thing to be Ben R and go around raping chicks. It's another to have a personality that makes it difficult to converse with people.

Lebron and the Heat lost to a better team, period. All the other crap doesn't matter. All this drama is for chicks and gay dudes.
