Every time I turn on the TV, I see Roethlisberger's fat, hairy face. I see Terrible Towels. I see the same analysts saying the same thing over and over again. I see complaints about the weather. I'm sick of it all.

Mainly because the Steelers are in it, I have no interest in watching this Super Bowl. It disgusts me that their POS QB is affectionately called "Big Ben" over and over again by a bunch of adoring media people. He's a scumbag. The other day, I saw a whole family going into Target wearing piss-yellow Steelers jerseys and the teen-age daughter was wearing a No. 7. Disgusting.

I'm interested in who wins (hoping for a Packers' victory ... 48-0), but I can't stomach any more of this.

I realize other people have said this for years and I've just shrugged it off, but now I see it. This "game" is so completely overblown. The two weeks of hype leading up to it. The way every media person in the world crowds into the host city and reports the same thing that everyone else is reporting.

The whole thing is nuts.

I want to escape from this. I'm going to be different. I'm going to be the one person that doesn't watch this crap tomorrow. It will be too cold to go on a hike Sunday night, but I'm going somewhere. Maybe I'll go watch that movie about the guy who falls into a crevace and can't get out.

That's my rant. :eek::

If I can find it being streamed online I will watch it but it doesn't matter to me at all who wins.

It's the last football game I will be able to watch fior God knows how long and I intend to enjoy every last moment of it regardless of circumstance.

I just love NFL football and I seldom care anymore which teams or players win or lose as long as I get to see a good game.

Yeah, I know, I must be nuts but life is good anyway.

I'll miss the first half. I have a family I am seeing until 6:30. I'm not gonna complain though, as long as GB wins.

Chill. Enjoy the game. It might be the last one for awhile.

I'm more interested in the commercials so the volumn will be turned up then. Otherwise the TV will be muted unless there is 5 minutes to go and it's obvious GB is going to win.

I'm going to watch it because I love football.

I think everyone else is pretty much in the same boat

Having friends over, ordering wings and ribs from Famous Daves and im pretty excited for the all the hoorah around the game. It'll be fun.

The first time I ever watched color TV was the first Super Bowl.

It was awesome.

I have seen every Super Bowl since then, .. I will not miss any Super Bowls.

I will be nervously cheering for the Packers, .. but realizing that the Stealers will probably win.

It will be the greatest thing in sports for me in a long time if the Stealers lose.

This.

I've missed the last three Super Bowls.

I chose not to watch Giants - Patriots.

I was in the EU for the last two and with the time difference, I slept through most of both, although I was awake for bits and pieces on the radio.

I'll skip all of the pregame tomorrow, but will watch some of the game, Chances are that I'll go to bed before it is over.

Another 12 hour work day Sunday, but that's why God made DVR's. :)

Tried it.

Could never bring myself to really enjoy a recorded Football Game.

It's like.. my cheering has no affect on the outcome cause the game is already over =(

I just watch it for the commercials. ;)

I'll record the game too since I'll be missing the first half. If GB is doing well, and wins, I'll go back to watch the whole thing. If Steelers win, it will be deleted from my DVR. Why watch something that will be painful to see all over again?

Im kind of feeling the same way as the original poster on some levels but I am going to watch the game any way.

It makes me sick to see a rapist like Ben get heralded as some one to be admired, I dont care how good he is at football he is a still a POS rapist.

Go Packers!

I agree about the serial rapist.

I have to tolerate many steeler fans living where I live, but the most obnoxious one of all had his 9 or 10 yr old daughter wearing a Ruthlessraper jersey in church this morning.

I can't even imagine letting that happen if it were my little girl. I would even explain to her that we don't like him because he does things to girls that we don't approve of.

What he did is worse than Vick in my book, .. way worse.

If we were steeler fans, I would let her have a Palomalu, Mendenhaul, H. Miller, .. but not BR.

I'm serious.

Would you let her drink when she is old enough?

If she is old enough, I would have no say.

Both of my sons like to drink beer, although the oldest now has a son so does not drink often at all.

Not sure what this has to do with the rapist though.

I ended up watching a show on lions and hyenas on NatGeo Wild then watched Pawn Stars.

Really don't feel like I missed anything but would have loved to see the Rapist's face when they lost.

I enjoyed watching Steroid Harrison walking off the field with a dejected (read LOSER) face while the confetti was falling.

MOLDED. :laugh2:
