Here are my immediate thoughts after this game. Firstly, I think this counts as a signature win for Dak. Going against an Eagles team who clearly will be finishing the regular season with a winning record. What a game by the team, and especially for a much maligned Dak Prescott. People were asking when he would have a signature win. I say, mark this day on your calendar. This was a signature Dak win. He's great against division opponents, and this game adds to that. Especially against Philly. Honestly, he has become one of the best QBs in the league. Whatever McCarthy taught him this season, he needs to keep it up. It's doing wonders with Dak. Why did we have Jason Garrett and Kellen Moore influencing Dak for so long?

Secondly, can we start calling Ferguson "Paycheck 2"? From what I have seen (I was born in late 92) of Novacek, Ferguson seems to have some similarities. He's a great safety valve for Dak, and his abilities after the catch are amazing.

Thirdly, Brandon Aubrey is such a weapon!! He might be the best kicker in the league, and he was playing in games (a few of which I saw, including the USFL Championship game here in Ohio) during the NFL offseason. What a great signing he's been!

Fourthly, I want to give Mike McCarthy a massive tip of the cap. I mentioned this earlier, but he's been sensational with Dak. I know he gets maligned on here. I, for one, think it's largely unfair. The job he's done with Dak, especially now that he has control of the playbook, has been incredible. He deserves to be in the running for coach of the year. I'm dead serious about this. He's done wonders for Dak. Don't just take my word for it. Aaron Rodgers, who played for Big Mac, said on the Pat McAfee show recently about how brilliantly Dak has played of late. He referenced a play that we ran that McCarthy had them run in Green Bay. I think he's aware of how good McCarthy can be for a QB if he has playbook control. On top of that, he did this on a very difficult week with his appendix. To go from being in hospital having a procedure done to still being on the sideline at the weekend to calling a masterclass against Philly? Bravo!!!!! Fair play!!!! Well done!! Honestly, why didn't we give him control sooner? He's turning (and I mean this in all the best ways) Dak into Aaron Rodgers with his play. The way he's taught Dak to see the field is mesmerizing to watch, and it's, I think, why Rodgers was saying that Dak is becoming one of his favourite QBs to watch.

Finally (I could go on, but I'll leave it to 5 points), Brilliant job Dan Quinn!! Well done keeping Philly to two! Yes TWO!! Philly Shove plays this game. Want to stop the Shove? Don't let them get to 3rd or 4th and short! Brilliant! Our defence deserves all the credit in the world for how well they played. All in all! Brilliant team win.

Always fun to see us dominate, and that's especially the case against Philly. Well done!! Cry Eagles Cry!

The only squawk I have about the offense is this BS of passing inside the three yard line. you have first and goal and the first two plays should be runs. Do not try and get cute down there; remember the SB when Pete Carrol blew it trying to be cute?

I do think we should run it in that spot. I'd especially like to see Luepke get more involved in that spot. Why not a FB dive? That said, this was a brilliant performance by the Cowboys.

Cowboys on cruise control after halftime and just ran the clock out the entire second half.

Dak went on a stretch in the first half that really had me screaming. He missed 6-7 in a row and was high many times tonight.

He also took a couple of unnecessary sacks and one lead to a fumble/six for the E-gals.

Not his best moment, but he was still fantastic overall. I'm delighted with this result.

If Ceedee makes a fairly regular catch this game was over right after halftime. Please.

He also had two decisive throws dropped that are probably two more touchdowns, on top of the two he already had.

In a hard fought game against your biggest division rival, he got it done.

he was very up and down today. made great plays followed up by head scratchers. not sure if this kind of performance would hold up against the Niner's defense.

Aaron Rogers can say what he must post Mike….but he’s the only HC that got him a SB. As great as his career has been.

People always have to complain about something, why don’t you just be happy with the win.
We’re not always going to be perfect, in fact no one is or team will be perfect!!!
You’re not going to keep riding high have to come down at some point but if you still win when you’re down off the high it’s a really good team.

True, I'm thinking that Rodgers might be getting a new appreciation for McCarthy with how he's talked about Dak.

Exactly, and we just dominated a very good team. That speaks volumes about this team. If we can some how steal this division, the Cowboys have a chance to do something special. Especially if we have a couple of home playoff games.

Great post Rusty! Yes, it was a signature win for Dak for this season. Looking forward to the rest of the year as this team can compete. Oh, and don’t forget about Gilmore. He was the DPOG!

I definitely think Gilmore deserves DPOG. He was phenomenal. He was one of the people I was referencing when I said that I could go on.
