Bottom line. Paying qb much has screwed us. Can’t get better. Can’t sign free agents. We are stuck in bad place. No way to get better. Owner either doesn’t care or too dumb understand this basic point.

Now they have to add a new LT and center (possibly rookies who will go through growing pains)...arguably the 2 most important positions on the OL. Let's see if they can give our elite QB 10 seconds to throw like so many people expect out of every OL

How many times are you guys going to make this post? We get it. Go email Jerry and tell him because there is nothing anyone here can do about it.

Dak's cap hit the past three years were 26,19,17....so how did it screw up the past three years? that's exactly what was said in the past three years.

we are stuck in place not because of contracts. we got an incompetent GM.

The Cowboys are not paying Dak $50 million this year. They are paying him $34. His CAP number is the result of pushing past salary money into future years as pro-rated bonus. You know when people talk about how the Cowboys can get under the CAP by $80 million and the CAP is a myth? This is what they want, to push all salary into future years, even voided years to free up money this year. Eventually you have to pay the piper. If you think it's bad this year, wait until 2025.

You can win with an elite QB making $50+M. Too bad Dallas doesn't have one.

It's early, but I don't see any way that the 2024 Cowboys will be as good as last season. They will simply lose more talent than they acquire. Quality depth will be reduced. I'm gonna cry now....

Dak keeps them relevant enough to either flirt with the playoffs or make the playoffs. Keeps the Cowboys on a ton of national games and everyone talking about them which keeps the money rolling in. To actually taking a step back to build a better team will never happen when the two guys running the team only care about money.

Funny, the quarterback that won the last two Superbowls makes 50+ plus.
