Martin's replacement?
Yep, Dallas even keeps fans coming back without deserving them....i guess our fans are just like our FO.If only we didn't hand out contracts & contract revisions without regard to actual performance, might not feel compelled to give those players the starting roles but rather let it be earned.
Too little meritocracy in Dallas.
Yeah, Smith is a much better overall blocker, but Bass is a good option to have for replacing Martin next year.Think he's a starter next year. Poor man Leary. Good run blocker, average pass blocker.

Frankly, I think a line consisting of some combination of the best of Smith, Beebe, Bass, Richards, Hoffman and Guyton will be best for this team moving forward. Obviously, that would mean Martin (retirement) and Steele (traded or cut) would be gone, and we would need to add some backup depth.
Martin's replacement?
LOL at the claim about RGRG is the least important position of the OL.
So before we bust another LT first round pick and then have to let him play guard i am all for Bass.
Yeah and he’ll do well.Think he's a starter next year. Poor man Leary. Good run blocker, average pass blocker.
He’s probably right.LOL at the claim about RG
Different offensive schemes highlight different parts of the O lineHe’s probably right.
As a general statement he’s probably right.Different offensive schemes highlight different parts of the O line
Not knocking him. It's just that Smith is an All-Pro. It won't bother me at all next year, though, if Smith gets moved out to LT and Bass is the LG (because Smith might also end up being our best LT candidate). Of course, with Martin liable to leave, I think Bass will end up at RG.Bass was All Conf in NCAA
solid player.
he needs reps.
He's a semi-pro stiff.Weird he didn't get a single snap today......
Odd.Weird he didn't get a single snap today......
